Not my words, but that is the new sales pitch for the Ram TRX. I am admittedly not a “Dodge/Ram Guy”, but I love trucks and this “on paper” appears to potentially be one Hell of a truck. I think this thing looks great inside and out. It has great numbers under the hood and features in the cabin. Plus, it has one of the greatest sales pitch ads that I have ever seen with the Jurassic Park scenes in the launch ad on their site. Not trying to stir up a fecal storm here of Tundra vs TRX, just curious on everyones’ thoughts.

It is a awesome looking truck just like the Ford Raptor. But not really realistic for the average consumer or more in particular me. I had the opportunity to drive a fully loaded Raptor and it was one of the coolest trucks I driven...until I got my Tundra ; )...but it felt the rear squatted about 4 inches every time I got on the gas. That was a no go for towing... for me as a consumer.

The PRO Tundra is not quite up to the level of those trucks in term of technology (suspension/disengaging sway bars/ETC). However if I had the money for any of these trucks it would be Tundra PRO all day everyday. If I were baja’ing every weekend than those truck may be the answer but I am a conservative fella when it comes to getting vehicles airborne.

The TRX and the Raptor are both great looking, cool trucks, but until they can both go few years without breaking I will stick with my Tundra. Do feel the toyota is lacking in true offroad performance, don't think it would be asking that much for something factory with lockers, offroad suspension and few upgrades.

    Again...

Its awesome that Dodge pushes the limits with stuff like this. But between the Demon and this TRX, 85K-100K for a Dodge is stammering, astounding, clinical grade insanity.

    It’s a dodge.

You can throw all the nifty gadgets at whatever you want, but if it’s not reliable, is it really worth it?

Spend the same money on a Tundra and you’ll have a truck that’s as capable and much more reliable.

All these weak ass hunks of shyt need a bunch of gizmos to somehow make the truck worth buying. At the end of the day, it’s still a dodge with a cam/lifter issue and a not-so-shifty transmission.

I love the TRX as well as the Raptor.

Also have nothing but praise for FCA for doing something really cool with their engineering / design team wondering “can we drop a hellcat motor in it?”, and then actually delivering that product to the consumer.

No, 99% of people who buy them aren’t going to use them to their potential. But that goes for all sports vehicles.

For the crowd who says other vehicles suit them better, or that they prefer to build up another vehicle to better suit their needs.... good for you, and good luck. However, some would rather purchase the completed vehicle, along with the warranty (which they will surely need).

So in a nutshell, props to the TRX and Raptor, and props to those who buy them. Drive the hell out of them, and enjoy!

Did you see this dinosaur? Paid offasaurus, I am in love with money chilling in my bank account than going to unnecessary shit. I love my tundra and would not trade.....unless....the new rumored 300 series landcruiser is coming to the US which I would buy and still keep the tundra. Oh was this about a dodge truck?!!!

Cool truck I’m sure but like others have said, I’d rather build my own to run circles around it for that kind of money. And yes I hope it has a good warranty and comfy seats in service department.

    Just getting started
I'd say I'd merge most of the comments on here...

I think it's awesome that FCA has the guts to put something together that most people agree is awesome JUST FOR THE AWESOME FACTOR. Does anyone really need it? No. But that's why we grow up and get jobs,to buy crap we WANT.

FCA also has the best interior right now, it's legit. Heavy on electronics, but it IS nice.

Now, onto the other part I agree with. Do we really think this thing is going to be reliable? C'mon. And how awesome can it be when it's in the shop.

Want to have a second truck just for some balls to the wall reckless unnecessary fun, go get you one. Want to have a truck that'll take you most anywhere and even more with moderate upgrades, and is crazy reliable...stay in the Tundras.com crue

For myself and I believe many others, Toyota's legendary reliability is a huge reason why we drive the vehicles we do.

For a lot of people though it just isn't that big of a deal. A lot of people lease their truck for on a few years and trade them in before reliability becomes an issue. Along those same lines, their trucks are never out of warranty.
