Greetings. I have D.T. Long tubes, a cat-back, but the stock tailpipe at this time. I have a Bully Dog Tuner now.

    I don't have JBA's w/dual 3" exhaust.

Do you-all think I should run the "Trail" tune or the "Performance" tune?

    Thank you.

Trail tune for sure if you have LT's installed.

Trail tune keeps your AFRs in check with stock timing when you add LT's. Performance tune advances timing on higher octane. Never personally tried the performance tune with LT's as I heard it will run it too lean.

I run "Trail Tune" on my setup and WOT with almost FBO N/A I maintain 11.8X AFR.

Good to know, TX210Tundra. I see in your signature you have ARH's (I remember your install thread, very nice) & dual 3" all the way out. I am sure my exhaust is not flowing like that, with a stock tailpipe (for now). I want to run it & watch the EGT's, but I couldn't read the very tiny instructions.

    Thank you!

Hello again. I am having a little trouble. I loaded the performance tune. DirtyDeeds ran lean w/JBA long tubes & dual, 3," cat-less exhaust. I know that my exhaust does not flow like that. But I want to try the "Trail" tune too.

The first time, I was able to choose which tune to load. Now I can't seem to get back to the list of tunes, only "Performance" or "stock." Anyone have any ideas?

    Thank you.

Anyone w/some BDX time? I am back to stock, but I can't get back to when I plug into my OBD and get the choice of tunes, like I did the first time I plugged it in. Now, I only get the option to install the performance tune.

    Thank you.

I don't have a BDX so can't help their but have you tried Bully Dog support online ?

Phones may be difficult to reach but they have a good chat option that runs quicker.

Thanx for popping in TX210Tundra. I did call a few days ago, they said there was a long wait due to the quarantine issues. Today I hooked it up to my son's non-Mac and all we could get it to say was it is put to date. I am sure the unit is fine, it is just me on this one.

Hey, all those mods on a single cab have to be SICK. Have you ever made any cool videos of your truck accelerating, racing, etc? 5.7 Tundra single cab short beds are cool because they are so friggin' rare.

You will need to use a windows based system and update everything.
They do not jive well with Macs, at all.

Hello again, another BDX question here. Device says "unpaired" right now. If I hit "factory reset," under "device settings," WHILE connected to my OBD port, will that be safe?

    Thank you.

87*... I thought you liked your Tundra ?

Jk Trail tune retains stock timing so shouldn't matter. I just run higher octane in case another Hemi wants some

I got to say, I am not sure. I have read that our Tundra's don't love 87 and are much happier w/91 (or 93 if u r lucky). I drive a little less than 10k/year, but if you drive a bunch of miles, I can definitely see wanting to run 87.

I think I have read that if you want mileage and are running a tuner, that the "performance" tunes get the best MPG's. But you have to run 91 to do that. Dirtydeeds would know the best I imagine.

Lol yea right now I'm running 87. I used to run 93 but gas has gone up lately so I'm running 87 it's not pinging or anything I just want to make sure it's safe. I know in trail tune it keeps the stock fuel cure and has the same timing as premium that's what I heard anyway. I put the bullydog back to stock and man it so slow so I switched it back today to trail and I can feel the difference on the low end.

Funny you say that, about feeling the loss of power when you take a tune out. That is when you really do realize you did have more power, from what I have noticed too.
