Just want to make sure I install my cabin filter the correct way...

Bought a Fram Fresh Breeze cabin filter for my 2018 Tundra and the videos I’ve been watching says the air flow and arrow printed on the filter should point up... on my filter, the printed writing would be upside down if the arrow is pointed up.

Should I install it this way?

Or turn it upside down with the arrow pointing down?

    Thanks for the help.

There are two types of filters out there. Some that say "This side up" with an arrow and then there are those that say "Airflow" and have an arrow indicating the direction air should pass through it. There has been lots of discussion elsewhere, but I believe the general consensus was that the air flows from top to bottom. If that is the case, your filter indicates that the arrow should point down.

^ I concur, air flow is down.
    Arrow should be pointing down.

But the world won't end if it is pointing either way...

The fan is below the filter, air is drawn down through the filter.

An easy way to tell direction of air flow is look at what side the debris is on the old filter when removing it... my 2019 was on the top meaning a downward air flow direction.

Airflow is down. That's why all the debris is on top of the filter. If it were the other way around, the debris would be behind the dashboard, in your glovebox, or the passengers side footwell. The Japanese wouldn't do that. That's something the Italians might do.

Normally you have to lay upside down to install these

Air flow in our trucks is top to bottom as air come in from the top .so if it says air flow with an arrow on it,make sure the arrow is facing down.

They make reusable filters should you decide to go that route in the future.

Cut it in half and place one arrow up and one arrow down. That way you’ll be right no matter which way the air flows.
