Well that didn't work BUT the alarm didn't go off for roughly 4.5-5 hours which is the longest interval so far.

Does it have the glass break sensor? Maybe something is triggering it? Barking dog? Nearby windchime?

Or it’s just faulty - if it has one I’d try unplugging it and see if it makes a difference.

Looks like its standard on the 1794, too. Is it something you can just unplug, or will it cause other issues being unplugged? Like, when you install it do you need to enable it in Techstream to make the truck aware of it?

I’m pretty sure it is plug and play. My understanding is the harness/connection comes installed on every truck it’s just whether or not the sensor is attached and inserted into the dash.

You are right. I did some digging. It also looks like there's an ECU module for it that allows you to adjust the sensitivity of the microphone. It could be that it's too sensitive and that something nearby is setting it off.

Any chance there's a new baby monitor within range of your truck? Either your home or a close neighbor? They can reak havoc on just about anything. Also if there are any rodent whistles ( hypersonic frequency generators to ward off vermin) that may have been recently deployed. These will false glass sensors too. They are often put in attic spaces, garages, and around cellar windows.

This is crazy. It’s got to be some RF interference. I’m assuming you have no new tech at the house. Ask the neighbors if any of them have.

Somewhere earlier in the post he stated he disassembled the spare and it was still going off. 4 pages is hard to follow but so far I think fob issues have been eliminated.

However, those RF bags are a good idea. It's where I store the fobs for my wife's Pilot when not in use.

I'm thinking the only "easy" to eliminate variable are the FOBS...they may be interfering with something else at the house...if he throws them both in the Faraday Bag, and that can prove that it's nothing with the FOBS, and if it doesn't go off, the FOBS are at issue...maybe in conjunction with each other even...

I have the same issue with my 2020 1794 and another guy with a brand new 1794 showed up at the dealer service bay with same Issue. They can’t recreate it and have replace the hood latch sensor and turned down the glass break sensor but the damn thing keeps going off. Only at home or in residential neighborhoods. Not while I am at stores or at work. Let me know if you get it figured out. I am about ready to return the truck.

No. From everything I've tried I've concluded it only happens at home. My wife and I have both taken it to our jobs and it hasn't gone off same with going to the store or anywhere else. I've actually sat in my house with every electronic device turned off and it still went off so I'm guessing it's something in the neighborhood. I've just been leaving it unlocked at home and turned the auto lock of.

What a crazy situation. Would a replacement factory alarm be the same frequency? Do you know anyone with a tundra with a factory alarm? Have them come by and see if it happens with their tundra. This would drive me bananas!

Replacing it wouldn't do anything if there's a sound that setting it off. Disable it!

I just had the Kahu add on removed and my alarm hasn’t gone off for two days. Might want to see if this was installed in the dealership as an anti theft tracking device.

update. No more alarm issues with my Tundra. This seems to have fixed it.

Looking for an update - did removing the gps app really fix it? I found the thread because my husband's Tacoma has the EXACT same problem and it's been at the dealership for over 30 days since he bought it in September and they've only replicated it once. We're about to file a lemon law claim on it if they can't figure it out. Weirdly, it didn't start until the dealership installed his tonneau cover in late October. We've had it back for exactly 10 hours today and it's gone off 6 times. We did figure out that it doesn't do it if it's unlocked, so we moved it into the garage and left it unlocked so our sleep doesn't get disturbed tonight.

Update. I went on just leaving the truck unlocked at home since that was the only place the alarm would go off. My Connected Service expired now at one year, even though I never downloaded the app, and my key fob remote start ended. Now I can lock the truck at home and no alarm. Could be coincidence I don't know but reading here that when Connected Service expires whatever reads the signal for key fob remote start is disabled although it's supposed to still work. Either way I don't have remote start but my alarm is not going off whenever it wants.

You have remote start, I believe, just not thru the app. Press lock twice within two seconds, press a third time and hold for three seconds.
