Amber light cuts through dust. White light just lights the dust up.

My setup. Baja Designs 40" S8 in the hood bugle with SDHQ mounts. Baja Designs 30" S8 Amber in/behind the bumper with Rago Fabrication mounts.

    Same :)

I still need to add 10” bars to the ends of the bumper. And I’ll be adding a hood bulge light at as well.

And I’m installing my DB Customz LED Grille later today.

nice set up. Do you have the 10” corner lights wired to your oem fog light switch or did you run a separate wire harness?
    Thanks

My thought’s were to use the oem switch but since I had more lights to hook up I decided to go with a Switch Pro SP-9100 set up.

Oh and forgot to post a picture of my old light bar ... Rigid Industries SR-30.

Just cosmetic reasons, I didn’t like how it looked behind the new Pro grille, like an afterthought. In the old Pro grille, those open slots above and below “Toyota” look like they were meant to have a bar in there.

Thanks. That's what I have now and I've been considering swapping to the 19 grille and was worried about the lightbar matching with it.

It’s a cheap Amazon bar, at least 2y old super bright, no condensation no issues. The height was better before but I only use it when back country camping and on dim rural roads. I actually have it tilted slightly up instead of straight ahead, does the job.

Spyder and I don't recommend them. I'm waiting for the white bar to die and will be switching to 2018+ OEM LED Pro.

Thanks! I like the idea of this for a relatively inexpensive upgrade, but I'm struggling to visualize what the bumper-mounted bar would add in terms of lighting/visibility. When driving on dark rural roads, will it illuminate areas that the headlights/high beams don't? Brighten the areas that they already cover? Or some hydrid? Also, do you get just a thin, horizontal, well-lit band?

Beau, in terms of practicality, I would say 2019+ LED headlights are the thing to do first if 3rd gen owners have the duller stock halogen. Then replacing the fogs with square Rigids lets me see across both sidewalks either side on a small city street. The bar I don’t use much, you have to turn it off when there’s opposing traffic. In the bumper angled slightly up casts a tall and large horizontal beam into the distance, is brighter than high beams but I’d be fine just using those highs.

Thanks for the advice! I'm fairly certain my '18 Platinum already has LED headlights, so I'll look into the Rigids for my first lighting upgrade.

I’ve had them and I felt the light output was lacking ...
