What’s up guys new member here and been into Toyota’s for a while just got into mods and performance stuff instead of enjoying the stock day to day here’s my 00 FGT with some mods....some were installed by previous owner so I’m not completely sure of brand and some of the stuff was just cheap things I slapped on for half ass performance like the 2 rear LED square lights ....any tips for direction on what to install next or upgrade ?

I would either bolt that sub box and amp down or pull them out. Thats a catastrophe if somebody hits your truck.

How is the exhaust with the dual straight pipes?

I want train horns too. They would be fun when navigating Los Angeles traffic.

Whoa, just noticed you also should bolt up your brake line brackets. If those are flopping around they might rip the hard line and you'll lose your brakes. Thats sketchy.

Don’t know a whole lot about them tbh ....previous owner put them on and when I bought it I looked around under the front and didn’t see them ...but I found them under where the spare tire goes ...took them , the compressor , and the motor off cleaned them up and put new air lines, wiring, and switches mounted to where they are now ....and this things is ungodly loud at 80psi and I run it at about 120psi

sounds like a monster ...but not excessively loud and obnoxious (unless I want them to be haha) but overall it completely makes the truck and I love them

Can you share more info on the rear bumper lights, brand/price, easy to cut into the bumper?

they’re nightlight ...actually pretty decent for the price I think they were like $40 a piece at harbor freight/ tractor supply ...and the bumper wasn’t hard to cut into it’s pretty thin metal just used my little 4” grinder and it was a breeze

Update ...the plastic part on the front bumper was faded as hell and I got bored so I went to advanced auto and got some herculine bedliner spray (was going to do the bed but weather had other plans) and decided to sand and paint it just to see how it would look ....only got 1 coat on it before it got dark but still turned out really nice E4998A57-9BA0-43E2-B0CE-3C8A64DA4563.jpg6EDD498A-897D-4431-9BB4-EABD2257431C.jpg

    I'm curious too!
Did you notice any brand names, or any kind of info on them? Can we get a video of how they sound?
Sweetness! You tied them into the reverse lights, or on a separate switch?

My son has a 2000 Tacoma and one of the two notes on his stock horn went out so it sounded like a clown car. He hated it. I got a 4 note train horn from an '80's something Cadillac and wired it in. Since my truck has been in the shop I've been driving the Tacoma. A guy cut me off the other day and I laid on that thing - I think I was as startled as he was. That thing is LOUD. Definitely a plus when dealing with traffic on the 405.

I would LOVE a Caddy horn. I need one for my GTI as well, that horn sounds like an old lady sneezed.

I tied the lights to a separate switch but I’m thinking about getting more or different ones that are a bit brighter .... can’t see shit out of 20% backing up at night ....or maybe a small light bar and see if there’s a way to mount it almost inside where the stock bedlight is or close to something like that....and I didn’t really look I was just excited to get it cleaned up and working so I could see what the horns sounded like...but will look tomorrow and yes I will post a video of how they sound ...I wired The horns to a toggle switch for bright lights in older model trucks a buddy had laying around

I did the whole front and rear chrome bumper on mine in Rustoleum bedliner. Held up very well after more than a year. I removed both bumpers. I wire wheeled the crap out of the chrome, then hit it with self etching primer. Then applied 3 good coats of the bedliner. I also did the trim on the sides and the mirror caps that the paint was peeling off of. I'm not a chrome fan.

Did you remove all the trim and badging off the sides or just tape over them when you painted ....cuz I’ve started doing some rebadging getting prepped for paint....slowly but surely....and that adhesivise is a PITA to get off unless you have a heat gun
