Agree 100%. Switched from a tonneau, was looking for something I could easily fold down for a dirt bike when towing a camper and weather protection for material and tools when needed.

Are you guys able to get these water tight? I bought fas-top brand and it leaks like a sieve. I've seam sealed and vinyl cemented the seams inside and out and it still seeps water in. For sure better than sitting in a downpour but not dry enough for bedding in the rain.

Mine is 5 years old and doesnt leak at the seams, but it will leak at the front corners and then in various places on the rails. Nothing horrible and stuff nearer the middle of the bed dosent get wet. The stuff that does get wet is just dampness wicking up from where it touches the bed.

Mines 2 years old and has held up amazing. It leaks just a smidge at the corners during a downpour but apart from that it’s legit. My girl and I use it at the drive in theaters where it seems to rain 99% of the time and it keeps us perfectly dry. Won’t go anywhere without it!

Sold my leer xl shell Bc it was just “too much” and I didn’t use it what it was for. Have a new black lab puppy and will be gun dog training him. How does it do in the winter, and does it retain and heat?

I never noticed a difference. I had rigid caps on previous trucks. They were cold when it was cold and hot when it was hot. Same with the ST'er.

Does anyone have issues with the rear window coming undone from buttons and off the bar with those buttons on highway? I’m having this issue with mine. I even rolled up the rear flap and see if it’ll make a difference and it ends up doing the same thing. Help needed!

Is that possible? The two outer bars have buttons and I have both of them buttoned.

Can the frame of these soft toppers hold any weight at all or is that not recommended?

I think the bars are supposed to be .5" away from the inside rail, post a pic.

I might have found the issue. I may just be dumb lol let’s just say that. Triple checked the install and instead of buttoning around rear bar, I had it other way around. Gonna test drive it on highway and see if it’s still coming off. But thanks for responding!

Update. I really love the versatility of the Softtopper. I can take it down in minutes and place some HVAC equipment in the back of the truck. The windows are holding up nicely even though I drive a lot of gravel roads. I roll up the back window a lot and they don't seem to scratch. I got the black and it shows the dust from the road and always seems to be hard to get clean. However, so far I'm impressed with everything except the Velcro... I can also drive with it folded up with bungees at highway speeds and it doesn't fly backwards. Very nice purchase and I get a ton of compliments. JMHO

I assume this is a grey softopper, correct? That color looks good on Super White.

I tried calling Softopper but they didn’t answer so I figured I would ask here. I have a 6.5” bed so I’m gonna order the 77” one. My question is do I order it with the Utility Racks? I have the in bed rails that my tonneau cover is attached to. Are they the same as the utility racks? Thanks!

From my understanding, this is correct. I bought a used softopper and the clamps they provide that pinch it against the bed rails didn't reach due to my Toyota deck rail system. I ordered 4 utility rail clamps and it solved my issue.

How easy would it be for someone to steal this? It looks great, just worried about someone walking off with it.
