I didn't even realize you could do this.. opens up a lot more options for the nice aftermarket bumpers and stuff like that too considering most of the 2nd gen options are hideous

Yeah, Gen2 options all look pretty bad. The $500 Sequoia mod is probably the most cost effective. Then add the lights for another 1k. To do the front end mod in the pic is another story... You're looking at hood, grill, fenders, bumper, lights. Add paint job and you're lucky to be out in less than 7k

yeah at the very least. but if you're going as far as to paint all new front end components, I think I'd spend the extra cash and have the whole truck repainted so it all looks brand new and the front end doesn't stick out like a sore thumb against the older paint on the rest of the truck .. seriously though if I had the cash I'd love to do this. I think my favourite part would be telling people its the same truck when they say "oh wow, when did you get a new truck!?!"

wait a second though.... so if the front bumper from a gen 3 will bolt up onto the gen 2 .. couldn't you buy a gen 3 aftermarket bumper (-cough- stealth fighter -cough) and bolt it up??

Funny, this thread piped up in my notifications. My brother just mentioned he's possibly looking to sell the truck soon if anyone's interested. He's still playing with the idea, but he'll prob land on selling. He's got a 2017 CM just sitting around and probably needs more driving.
