Sure, I hear you. But it’s plenty powerful. I remember watching that specially equipped/ prepped Tundra pulling the space shuttle through so cal. I mean come on, who else can say that, right?
Seriously though, if you need more power, there’s the proven Magnusson super charger.
I take my family on long trips all the time and seriously, I have NEVER ONCE worried I wouldn’t make it back home. To me that’s priceless. Reliability these days is hard to come by. As long as I have a spare tire, tire plug kit and plenty of gas in the tank, I’m confident my 8 year old truck will make it back home with my precious cargo onboard.
    Priceless!

Thanks, I agree 100%. I’m really just nit picking when it comes to payload, since otherwise it’s pretty darn perfect. But it is amazing how quickly the weight starts to add up with 4 people, a dog, camper shell, a bunch of bikes and camping stuff or the tongue weight from a trailer/space ship. That being said, it’s hard to imagine ever needing more power.

Welcome from Fairfield. You're gonna love a Tundra. When I had a 06 Tacoma years ago, I used to always tell my wife every time I saw a Tundra on the road that it'd be my next truck. A decade later and I'm driving one and loving everything about it, except the gas mileage of course, but I didn't buy it to save on gas.

For sure. But as much as 30mpg would be nice, it doesn't seem too bad for the capability. Especially considering I'm getting 18-19mpg in my Tacoma right now on trips. Also luckily, I'm not looking for a Tundra to commute with. I have a bicycle for that.
