I cannot imagine anything better than a familial body shop! I need to be adopted. Truck looks fabulous.

Tonight I test fit an ARB Recovery Point as a replacement for the factory tow hook on the passenger side. Since I couldn’t find one specifically for the Tundra, I bought one that ARB makes for the Land Cruiser 200. Both platforms share the same row hook mounting points on the chassis.

ARB clearly states in the instructions that the recovery point should only be installed on the intended vehicle, so I’m not recommending this to anyone else. IANA

Here are some pics on the install. The clearance between the recovery point and the bumper isn’t great.

Definitely. I’ve been out in the shop with him since I was a toddler. I’ve learned a lot over the years but ultimately went on to do my own thing. My brother followed in his footsteps and is part owner of the body shop. Between them and my mechanic sons, I’m set ;)

    thanks!

Right? And on top of that, my two oldest sons are certified Toyota mechanics and work for the two different Toyota dealerships in town. Comes in handy and definitely got me a nice family discount on the purchase of my 2019 Platinum. :)

    P.S. Thanks!

That is a shit design for traffic flow onto a highway. Seems like it would be a common spot. Hope all is well with you and your passengers and your truck!

Honestly I'm not 100% sure. The OEM wheels were mag style. I'll double check after driving about 100 miles to see if they lose torque. As of now they fit fine.

Edit: After doing some reading, they are not the correct lugs for OEM wheels. Gonna put the OEM lugs back on tomorrow. Hopefully it didn't cause any problems with the driving I did today.

Very productive weekend. Installed TRD Rear Sway Bar, Putco Blade tailgate light bar, VLeds interior lights and the reverse light, tinted OEM looking Taillights, added a dashcam using the simple usb adaptor behind the mirror, and gave her a bath.

Darn, I was hoping they worked. So hard to find good black chrome mag style that aren't crazy priced. I got a set but they corroded within one winter so they look like crap now.

Glad you agree with me. Sometimes it's hard to gauge how much at fault I am based on my own opinion, so it's good to hear others agree. We're doing fine; thank you. Just now in the process of getting the insurance company to start communicating properly with the tow/repair facility in my area. They are making it more difficult than it needs to be.

They honestly rode the same as stock. I wasn’t impressed, I ordered some icon 2.5”. I’m gonna give away the fox’s to whomever wants them

Anyways .... while waiting for the rear shocks to come in I did put 6112’s on last night :)

Picked up a set of off-road OEM take offs. Never was a fan of the limited wheels. Super glad to have these on there:

    They are on the lowest
clip as I already have 3.5” from the spindle, so now I’m sitting around 4-1/4” lift front. And 2.1 rear
