I got a Husqvarna yth24v48 I got from Lowes maybe 6-8 years ago. Works well but with this wet season we had this year it's been a struggle for it to get my yard cut. I got about 2 acres between the two houses I cut. I've done a lot of work on it the last couple of years. Replacing belts (expected) replacing baffles on the cutting deck (not expected), maybe I'm rough on it.

I've been smokin' over getting a newer tractor because I think I want to start bagging instead of mulching like I have for years. Again the really wet season this year has made mulching harder. The wet stuff gets sucked up in the top of the mower deck and bogs down. I put new blades on just the other week and it's still doing it. I'm reading the bagger for this model is a PITA.

Lately I've been switching to Stihl, got a gas and batter blower and battery trimmer for the bushes. Was amazed how long that big battery last.

Looking at Stihl for a lawn tractor and I find they have a nice looking system in UK but it doesn't look like it's available in the US. Anyone have a clue why that is?

Second question, If you were looking for new, who would you go with?

Kind of depends on budget. I'd buy something like a Hustler 52" zero turn with a tall commercial style deck. I have an Exmark 60" cutting 5 acres, deck is 5.5" deep, doesn't clog even cutting super wet grass. Tractor with shallow deck can't compare.

    Thanks for the reply.
Someone suggested a Walker. Probably bigger than I need but yeah I think the cutting deck is my problem. I'm kinda leaning at John Deere at this point and start collecting instead of mulching. I really don't need a commercial rig and the Husqvarna has served me well. If I weren't mechanically inclined it would have probably met it'd death several years ago. (had a drive belt issue that I solved by getting a half inch shorter drive belt...)

Shoot, the Hustler is cheaper than the Kobuta I quoted out.

I have a gravely 48”, I can’t stand mowing heck I put in more concrete jus so I would mow less. Check Craig’s or FB marketplace for a gently used one.
