So...I brought my truck in the the recall of the front directionals and asked if they could install the OEM tailgate lock I bought but haven’t had the time to install.

I was expecting at least an hours labor and was pleasantly surprised when the bill was $15.00.

I even asked if it was wrong....read the receipt, double checked the install in the lot. Sure enough it’s there, installed and working.

What am I missing....could Christmas have come early?

At least they didn't try to bill you for adjusting the "armature sprocket", re-calibrating the "dynamic oscillator", or recharging the "turbo- flatulator".

I thought for sure I’d see a charge for troubleshooting the tailgate lock or at least the flaziator.

If your talking about the OEM power tailgate lock. Then yes! Christmas came early my friend! Toyota's book says 5 hours labor! Unless something has changed. Maybe the power wire is installed from the factory now. That would make installation very quick and simple.
