Someone backed into me the other day. Apparently didn’t hear me honking to let him know I was behind him. (Need to get some air horns)

There was no visible damage other than a cracked license plate holder. Upon further inspection I noticed the gap on the passenger side is slightly bigger than drivers side. I don’t know if this was always the case or a result of the impact. Is everyone else’s pretty even? Is there anything I can do on my own to fix this?

Dashcam vid of the impact. Some cursing envolved (sorry).

There was no apparent damage so I was just annoyed that it happened. There was traffic behind me so I couldn't back up, so it felt like an eternity as I saw this guy coming at me with no clue. The car in front of him was a jag off too. Now i'm even more annoyed now that I noticed the right side of the bumper is hanging lower. Hopefully there is a quick and easy fix for this kinda thing.

the car infront of him pulls out of the parking lot on the left and then abruptly stops so that he can back up into parking spot on the right. He starts honking at the guy behind him for not reading his mind that he wants to back up into that spot. Maybe his honking canceled out my honking but both dudes were idiots imo.

Add a nice lightbar to help get their attention. When I think someone is going to back into me, I light their asses up so they dont lol.

I know some have a gap (not always even either) Take a stroll to a local dealer and see if it measures the same.

I think quite a few people have reported uneven gaps on their Tundra bumpers (front and rear). The bumpers on my '14 were both uneven. Drove me crazy until I went with an aftermarket bumper.

Check the bolts underneath both end caps at bottom I know caps can push out a bit, maybe other bolts at top too but that requires removing inner front liners and plastic piece just below headlight and maybe grille

My original bumper and my roommates original bumper both were uneven. So is my grille. It irritates the shit out of me but I’m too busy to think about it.

They are easy to adjust with grille and the trim pieces below headlights off. I did mine when I installed light bars. You might be able to access by just taking the liners off behind the fogs.

Hi, did you ever fix the gap issue? I bought a 2020 tundra new in July in NY and I moved to PA shortly after. Well right after moving I noticed my bumper has the same issue as yours. In fact the gaps almost look identical. I took it to a local dealer who says there is evidence the bumper was hit and I need to contact my selling dealer. I should have asked him to show me what he saw, because I looked under the truck and don't see any scratches/scrapes, paint. Well the selling dealer wants me to drive it all the way back to NY and I don't want have time to deal with it. I called Toyota Corporate and they aren't helping at all either. I'm hoping this is an easy fix. Please let me know or someone else who may have had a similar gap.
