So my throttle is cutting out on straight aways and right hands turns. a T/C light does not come on and i turned off the T/C by pressing the button down for 3 seconds and then another 3 seconds to disable the stability control. it happens at any kind of right hand turn, at 55 mph on a slight turn or from a complete stop to a right hand turn the throttle cuts out almost every time. when it happens on a straight away it feel like its traction control trying to find the right throttle amount to apply but at 55 mph i know im am not spinning tires. has anyone else encountered this?

it does have a compustar auto start and a rail for a lightbar on the front but no light. that was all installed before i bought the truck at 49k miles. i did see that the wiring for either the auto start or the light bar has a in-line fuse but idk iv never installed either one before

A mechanic once explained to me about newer vehicles , he said years ago once the engine was running you could take the battery out of a vehicle and it would stay running but the newer ones actually run off the battery while the alternator keeps the battery charged .
He said that due to all the electronics in newer vehicles they need to keep a constant voltage and if an alternator fails it can put out more volts than the system can handle and fry the electronics in the car .

Although you might not be experiencing any other electric issues right now it could just be not charging enough for when you need the little bit more juice for accelerating, if that makes any sense .

I think i just figured it out. So i read that the tundras has a brake throttle cut out and a couple days ago my wife said the lights were on long after we got home so i went out there and they were off by the time i got out there. Well i just got home and noticed from my window my brake lights are on and when i went out to check they were off and then they came back on again. SO im guessing it has something to do with that just have to figure out what could be causing it. p.s. and the cruise control will only come on some of the times and will shut off without me commanding it to

Fixed it, the brake sensor was so loose that any slight movement on the brake pedal was triggering the lights to come on and disable the throttle. it wasnt until today i got my wife out there to check it while i moved the wire and pedal, just moved the sensor in a little bit and no more issues. but it was weird that it was only happening on a right hand turn no matter how hard the turn. I check the whole steering column and theres no wires touching it guess it was just the angle of the dangle

Welcome from Aurora, Colorado. I was up your way from Nov 2011 to August 2012. A good friend of mine has a small lodge just south of Ninilchik. If you have ever been to Roscoe's Pizza, all the tables and chairs were custom made for Roscoe by "Ken". I helped my friend deliver them and set them up. The huge sign in front of Gwinn's Lodge in Cooper Landing was also made by him and myself actually. Big ass sign. Totally hand made. Ken made some bar stools that are being sat on right now at Gwinn's!

Roscoe used to be the executive chef at the 5 Star Princess Denali Hotel and "retired" then set up his pizza restaurant with wife Kathy in Ninilchik. They would close during winter and head to California until late winter and head back up. That place was busy. Best pizza I ever had. Calzones were great. I'll be going back up someday soon I hope. I was the quality manager for Alaska Metrology and Calibration Services in Anchorage. We also had a mobile calibration lab up on the Slope. We would have Carlisle from Ice Road Trucker fame move it to different locations up there. Usually at BP and ConocoPhillips sites. I myself flew up to Kuparik twice. Both times a bit north to Milne Point which was a BP facility. Cold as f++k in the winter but then again that's when it's the busiest up there. In spring... bug out time before the thaw. Bucket list time for me up there. I caught a bunch of "Reds" where the Russian converges with the Kenai with Ken. Ken also had me experience combat fishing on the Kenai near Soldotna. Crazy....
We'd always stop at Sal's Diner in Soldotna for the $9.99 ribeye steak and eggs breakfast. We'd hit up the Dairy Queen for burgers and shakes on the way back up to Anchorage. Damn I miss AK but had to come back down here.
