I have done some digging and skimmed through all the endless threads on AJT stuff. Just wanted to get a feel for how blacking out the cupholder surround and shifter surround will look with the brown interior. Anyone have any pictures? I love the product and it looks great in the platinums and other trim models. Just want to see it on the 1794 interior before I treat myself to a little birthday present!

Here is mine. I enjoy it, was getting really tired of blinding the passengers with the cup holder reflection.

I have a pic here that I posted a few weeks ago in this thread: https://www.tundras.com/threads/wha...d-gen-tundra-today.713/page-1425#post-1862340

I just prepped mine and then hit them with a few coats of spray on bed-liner. Not really a fan of the look of the AJT cup holder and shifter surround so spraying them was quick and easy. Did buy the AJT steering wheel blackout logo though ... then sprayed it with bed liner to match the rest :)

Thanks for the reply man! I was starting to think I was out of luck. I am definitely sick of the chrome in those places especially. I think the kit looks good. You been happy with it?

Yes I am happy with it, I did the a/c vents, 4x4 knob, a/c controls, radio knobs, and steering wheel emblem also. It's also cheaper by prob 50% if you buy the AJT kit as a whole instead of putting each piece in your cart separately. It was all a fairly easy install, the drilling around the shifter could have ended badly if if didn't slow down and taken my time. Yes some of the plastic welds get awfully close to that leather piece surrounding the shifter, and if the drill had gotten away from me I would have damaged the leather.

Interesting! I had not considered that problem! I may end up only doing the chrome around the cupholder and the insert on the shiny stuff on the interior of the shifter surround. I dont mind the matte silver. @abomb60 only did the cupholder and it doesnt look bad at all. I dig it! The cuphold seemed pretty straight forward?

I dont have the stones to rip my dash apart to hit all the other knobs and surrounds quite yet haha

I am not saying the shifter trim is not worth doing just use caution and take your time. Yes the cupholder is a must that angle it has always used to blind my passengers.

The cupholder is a killer on the driver haha it always catches my eyes!! It looks like all you really have to do for that is undo the clips and then bore 4 holes for the Ajt screws

Yes pretty simple, mine had some slack where the clips mated. So I had to make sure to push the whole trim piece against the taps before I secured.

They do more on the cup holder. The shifter trim I had to make a little bracket to put under there since the location to drill was on the edge of the plastic and really wasn't catching on anything.
