    Looks great! So are you saying you went from a 3” front lift and then gained an additional 1.5” front lift for a total of 4.5” up front?

    Front was at 40" its now 41.5" I think that with stock springs and readylift I was probably around 2.5 inches of lift (given the spring rate being much lower than the OME)...so now im about 3.5" inches

    5.29s on 35s...overall its a big improvement especially city driving 5th and 6th gear have regained their value as in they are usable, for awhile i was driving in select mode and kept the truck in 4th until speed allowed me to shift to 5th and then 6th if i jumped on the freeway....

    Now to freeway driving with 5.29 on 35s...at about 70-75 it feels like I need 1 more shift...but its not there I drove from Tucson to Deming and back (seems like it was uphill both ways, LOL) RPMs stayed at around 2100 - 2200 but she held 6th gear the whole time, no searching for gears.

    I'll have to spend some more time on the freeway to give a better evaluation, I've got a drain and fill scheduled so once that is done I will get back on the road.

    I've been studying Tundra suspension to determine what route to go. These numbers may help others make an informed decision....assuming my research is correct ;)

    Dobinsons 2.25” coils - 737lb, 410mm free height
    Dobinsons 3” comfort coils - 662lb, 460mm free height
    OME 612 coils - 2.5” lift with 0-150lbs - 740lb, 415mm free height
    OME 613 coils - 740lb, 435mm free height
    OME 614 coils - 740lb, 425mm free height

    Question for those running the 612 kit. Did you guys also install the brake line and ABS extension kit? Is it recommended to also upgrade the bump stops and add a carrier barrier spacer?

    I did install the extension kit...did not upgrade the bump stops, and I think I'm about to get the https://shop-coachbuilder.myshopify...drop-kit-rear-lift-0-2?variant=12559349710925, but not 100% sure yet.

    For those of you that are running OME setups, did you install a trim packer to compensate for any "lean?"

    Any reason you chose Coach Builder shim and not the OME trim packer?

    I’ve never heard of a trim packer until now. A member was selling the shins I have on the forum, that’s what I ended up with is all. Mind you, I also have one 1/4” steel plate I traced off a coachbuilder shim and it works exactly the same. :hattip:

    Gotcha. Thanks!

    I'm debating on the OME setup vs. Bilstein 6112/5160 or possibly something more elaborate. I like the set-it-and-forget-it approach and don't want to have to pull the suspension every couple of years for a rebuild.

    I’ve really enjoyed my ome 613’s. Having a bunch of extra weight added to my truck, it rides like it should. I’ve never heard many things bad about either ome/bilstein setups. I’m sure you’ll be stoked with either :hattip:

    I was in the same position as you a month ago. I went OME and I’m happy I did. I love my setup. I don’t do any high speed off road driving here on the east coast so I didn’t see much of a need for a reservoir setup. These OME setups are bulletproof and pretty much zero maintenance.

    Thanks for the feedback! There's a lot of info on this site on Bilsteins and all the other options but not a lot on OME so it's good to hear you've had a positive experience. I do like that the OME setup has more lift and more spring options than the Bilsteins. I'm assuming slightly more travel as well but haven't found any info online.

    I’m not experienced with bilsteins, but I have also airborne the front of my 6000lbs truck without issue on my ome. I also have a few buds who run ome on their Tacoma work trucks. The roads these trucks drive down everyday is basically a one hour baja run one way twice a day. Anywhere from plus 30c to -40c and they haven’t had issue after years of abuse. Sold me.

    Damn I was looking at pulling the trigger on the OME front Coilovers/strut assembly and the rear shocks, but now I’m concerned I’m going to have a bro lean. I currently have 3” spacer front, 1” block rear. You’re saying with a 2” lift in the rear you are dead level? I was hoping to achieve a tiny bit of rake putting the OME on the front (which claims 2.5” lift) and leaving the rear 1” block.

    Update on my OME setup after about 1500 miles. Very happy with it. Once the springs settled the ride has become more comfortable. In addition i took it out to some trails while camping this past week. It handled everything i threw at it well. Great travel and also handled trails at higher speed well. I'm definitely going to fluid film the shocks and consider shock covers though. Not too happy about the finish wearing off fairly easily. I have a number of chips in the paint of both body of the shock and the springs.

    Mine is level with a 1.5" block in the rear. Eyeballing though, i haven't measured.

    I did end up installing the coachbuilder carrier bearing drop...the shudder from a dead stop is gone, also installed coachbuilder bumper shims got rid of the last of the rubbing at full turn while going uphill while banking on I-10 off-ramp, going 35s has been a pain in the ass...but love the way she looks...hahaha

    I ordered the OME 2613 coils, w/the complete kit including Dakar’s and greaseable shackle bushings, & it's to be delivered today. I was hoping for 3" lift w/those springs but I also have an ARB Summit front bumper & 10K winch, which weigh about 250lbs together. Should I use 1/2" trim packers/spacers to lift the front a bit more so I can get 3" of front lift?

    My understanding is that the 613 will give you the 3" lift you're looking for with the bumper installed, but it seems like each truck is different...I feel like the 612s gave me a little more lift than I expected.

    I was under the impression:
    612 = 2.5”
    613 = 3.5”
    614 = 3”
    This is with no heavy bumper or winch. They’re all 740lb springs, just different lengths.

    I don't think any of the springs are supposed to give you more than 3...but for me and a lot of other we are getting slightly more then the 2.5-3" lift range from factory...now i went from 7 year old factory shocks, springs and 3/1 leveling kit to the OMETUN47LKS which included the 612 springs and got about 1.75 extra inches of lift on the front and about 2.5 inches in the rear...OME spring numbers seem to cause confusion but here is what i found on lowrangeoffroad.com which seems to confirm what you posted

    I'd say i was less the 3" upfront due to age and sagging...because 4.5" seems like a lot...I never measured from stock...first measurement was after 35s with factory shocks, springs and a 3/1 level installed more than 7 years ago, so with age maybe the 40 measurement put me at 2.25" and now 3.5...seems like a lot...hope it settle soon, hahaha.

    If used for their intended purpose, no they shouldn’t give you more than 3. But people are using the longer springs in situations that don’t call for them (614 to get 3” lift with a stock truck instead of having 4.6L w/winch and bumper, 613 for 3.5” for stock truck instead of having winch and bumper).
    I’ll be running 35x11.5x18 so I’d like to have a full 3” lift. I’ll just install what I have now and if I need to add packers I will in the future. I’ll post back what numbers I get.

    I have always found that OME suspensions generally run a little taller than advertised. They certainly do not run small. I think that you will find that they are about 1/2 inch higher, and that may be so that once it settles and has some wear it still meets the specs. They build a great product.

    Yeah i'm pretty sure mine is closer to 3" despite being a 2.5" kit.
