B41507C4-CEF1-4DE6-9BB3-75F886B2F881.jpg I’ve watched the few install videos I could find, including the coach builder, but I’m stuck. With the frame on jack stands and even releasing the jack on the diff all the way down, my leaf springs don’t want to drop away from the frame any where near enough to get the shackle on there. I’m actually not sure I could even get stock back on. Is it because of my block? See attached picture.

Can you jack up the rear on the frame and see if it moves it in to place? Maybe even add some air to your airbag to separate frame and spring.

The block will definitely make it difficult. I dont think you can run that large of a block together with shackles. Did you disconnect your shocks from the lower mount as well?

David from Toytec said I could, it’s only a 2”. I did not disconnect the shock, perhaps that’s what’s causing my problem. Just tried the airbag trick and it only got me about a cm of space.

Disconnect the rear shocks and jack up from rear axle or rear diff

That’s the ticket. I feel dumb. Wish these things came with instructions :)

Found the ones for Tacoma which are similar but not the same. I don’t think they mention disconnecting the shock. The only video I found on YouTube the guy installed the new bushings on the frame instead of the spring :).

Now on to pressing the bushing off the other spring. What a PITA.

The coach builder video also explains which components to remove.

In his video he had the shocks out but mentioned it was for other suspension work and camera angles. I didn’t make the connection.

Anyone happen to have the torque specs for the shackle bolts?
