+1 Installing a rear sway bar kit on my high-top E-150 van really tamed the excessive body roll from such a tall vehicle. The Hellwig 7700 kit Addco 2181 (over $200 less) for the Tundra is on my short list of things I intend to do.

Awesome sweating... this is so much nicer than crimped plasticky PEX stuff.

    It's a bittersweet situation.

If not for the rotted out trucks, we wouldn't have as many parts trucks available to us. Nor, the reasonably priced rusted critters that we can make whole (or somewhat whole) again, as our very own build projects.

You guys go 240s or 210S on the unit?

House is hitting 20yrs old soon. Been considering going tankless and the Navien NPE units are what I was looking to get. Planning on finishing out the basement where my shop bench is, along with our air handler and water heater, in the not-so-distant future. New subpanel with 10-12 circuits, some drywall, tankless water heater, and replace our air handler all in one fell swoop.

I’m not sure what unit we got in there, he only has two bathrooms, but this unit can handle 3.
Next years taxes I will probably upgrade as well

    We did the 240s

We did a few joint with the pro press, which are cool, but I don’t really like them. We had to pro press the top 90s because it adapted to that pex right on the other side of the wall, so we didn’t want to melt anything. Then just soldered the stuff closer to the unit. No leaks, I still got it!

X2 on this, I didn't paint mine very well and they started rusting in about 2 days.

I am probably mixed up on attributing that sentiment to you. (I just tried searching again and cant find the thread.) Sorry about that . Just a curiosity as I see strong opinions one way or another.

Not a problem. I could always say I was against them before I was for them if you find that quote.

Take care in snugging the u-bolts down on the axle, as they like to slip a bit. Alternate the tightening.

The rear sway bar instructions for the Addco show it mounting above the rear dif. I thought most are mounted below. Anyway, trying to get the bracket in the right spot for the top mount but there is a metal tab there holding maybe the rear brake line or something. I tried to mount it underneath the rear dif but the passenger side shock mount is in the way. Sorry to bungle up this thread. Thought this would be easy.

Slip that U-bolt under the brake line. Looking forward to your impressions on this kit when you're done.

Thanks. The bar itself hits that metal tab.

I thought you had the Hellwig7700. Yeah, there is not much room to work it on our axles. Mine mounts under the axle facing towards the rear bumper. The mounting spots are strategic and surgical.

ABS sensor wire perhaps? I guess you could move the wire but the tab is still in the way. Your call if a modification is in order.

He's got the same Addco 2181 kit as @evilrb has in the other thread. It mounts sorta opposite of the Hellwig.

Bend those things out of the way and make it happen. Evil has no ABS, but I think those tabs can be bent back enough to install the bar. Please take care not to mangle that wire!

Or swap the clips around to the other side of the tabs. You got this gurrl.

Okay, sounds like a plan. I measured on the underside of the axle and this bar is to wide to fit between the shock mounts. I put a halt on the install as I ran out of time but I did get one thing done today. New emblem: ( look at the grill! )

Is it the Addco 2181? That's what's listed for our trucks.

    Here's my 2WD 2002 and your 2002 4WD? for comparison.

Looks like I can pull out the abs line from that tab and then bend the tab down, hopefully enough to get the bracket somewhat flush with the axle. I'm think I might need a hammer to pound it down so that I can get enough threads to engage with the U bolt. I'll be at it tomorrow...

    Thank you gentlemen.

I wasn't poking at that age group. Thats just the meme. Maybe I should have edited out the text like the media edits the full story.
