So I'm gonna get the line-x spray liner on my '16 that I'm getting this week. Just wondering if it's really worth the extra $150 to get the premium lining versus the standard? Sorry if this has been covered before, searched but the results were a bit convoluted. Thanks!

haha probably true! but I know when it comes to car stuff it can be easy for brands/manufacturers to take advantage of the word premium.

If the premium is paint matched then spend the $150...

nah it's just a glossier coating that is more UV resistant and they say it wears better over time. I can't imagine the regular doesn't wear well though, those linings are pretty tough

I dont have line-X but another brand from the same guy who created Line-X.

Once a year I spray out the bed and let it dry then wipe it all down with 303 or Armor All
and its looks brands spankin new all summer or until I get it really dirty again hauling stuff
    around.

Color match for extra 150 maybe, otherwise I wouldnt

I had the standard installed on my crewmax because I have a tonneau cover also installed on the truck.

You got a bed cover/tonneau cover? I went with the premium thinking I didn’t want it to fade or fall apart when parked outside under the sun all day 5-7 says a week. I parked my truck outside for about a month before buying a tonneau cover. Hindsight, I shouldn’t have spent the added $150 for that premium. Since the cover is always shut and the Line-x rarely sees daylight

I got the premium because I think it looks better. Of course now I have a topper so I'm not really worried about fade, but it does look shiny :)

    Alot of them
Premium has the gloss inhibitors for UV. Regular will fade and turn a flat dull blackish color.

what did they quote you for line x? my area wanted something in the 800-900 range. the premium is supposed to not fade over the years like most in direct sunlight do. i didnt know line x offered color matching

premium...it has a nice gloss for new trucks. standard just look like faded cement. imo looks like shit if you have a new truck.

I think I plan on having a bed cover In the winter then I have a camper for the summer so not sure if I’m that worried about sunlight.

but if it overall looks better on a newer truck may be worth it. I was quoted at 700 plus tax for premium

if you pay cash, you can probably get it cheaper.

    premium
still looks the same 4 years later.

There's actually 3 lines of line-X. My truck was sprayed from the dealer with Line-X and about 3 months later I dropped a backflip lid and I did notice the difference in some spots as far as thickness and color fading. Premium is also a little thicker than the standard spray and Premium does hold a better shine. Luckily one of my Vendors happens to be Line-X and he took care of my truck with some premium spray. If your in Cali and in the L.A area hit me up and I can send you guys his way.

Thanks but I’m in Colorado. Luckily there are actual Line-X locations in the area, not just a third party vendor.

I just had the regular done, they didnt offer any other packages (this was done at a Line-X dealer)
I personally wouldnt have done the premium regardless. Its a truck bed, not a show piece.

edit: paid $520 for the liner

Ditto. My understanding is that the premium just has UV protection so it wasn't worth it to me since I put a canopy on.

That seems excessive. I got the standard for $550 CAD.
