    Tastefully enhanced...
I swapped in a couple months back the GTR PnP 1k lumen backup bulbs and they are amazing...the license plate light created a wall of light when driving with lights on and caused subtle glare issues when using backup camera...but you are correct, upgraded reverse bulbs are a game changer!

That could be it. I didn't change the license plate bulb on hers. Changed it on mine but I haven't drove the truck at night yet. She uses the truck at night though since she works graveyard shift and I haven't heard any complaints from her yet. I need to get some reverse LED bulbs.

Has anyone put on the blackout badges that go directly over the chrome ones from the dealer?

Removed pcv valve for inspection/cleaning and upon trying to reinstall dropped it into the abyss below the manifold.

Just bought my 2020 Tundra last week. Today I replaced the factory tint with Wincos by Madico, 5% on the back windows, 25% up front and 70% on the windshield. I have already noticed the difference when driving, as the AC runs less intense. I drove home and didn't realize the shop had turned the AC off until putting it in park.

Calling that "idiotic advice" isn't taking into consideration the whole picture. You're leaving out an important part of the equation - risk. Paying off any debt regardless of APR is guaranteed positive return. The stock market is anything but guaranteed. My stock investments have also been doing well, but my investments are independent of my cash position and holding debt. Most people who carry a car note don't do it to have expendable income. They do it so they can "afford" their car/truck of choice. I seriously doubt that those who finance a $50,000 vehicle do so in order to have $50,000 to invest in the stock market and hold over many years. Also, the less debt you carry, the more cash you can bring in as it's not going to cover the debt (which helps dollar cost average when investing regularly in order to neutralize the volatility of the stock market).

With the $25k you've made, did you cash it out and put it into something you're enjoying or is it still in the markets? If it's still in the markets, then it technically isn't "made" yet. That doesn't happen until you cash it out.

Maybe we need a personal finance thread instead so we (I) don't hijack this thread (too late?!?). Great discussion on a very important topic though!

    Just getting started
Yeah the red ring would ONLY go around the start button. Other than that I like the centerpiece look of climate control and everything. By blacking out everything else I think it makes it look clean. Without it there were just too many colors and shiny things. Now it looks like a clean design. The red might just look cool around the start. I might even do a red TRD engine sticker like I had on my 17 Tacoma. It looked cool and appropriate.

I was curious as to how thick they were, does it make them look bulky? or is it a pretty thin plastic? Also, do they just clip over top with a pressure fit or do they glue on? Thanks in advance for responding:)

They are pretty thin. They are held in place with some thin straps of 3M double sided tape.

Yeah, they aren’t bulky. You can’t really tell they’re overlays unless you look really close. Just clean the badges and wipe them down with alcohol before you put the overlays on.

I’m going to slide some heat shrink over the shaft to and see how I like it with the black instead of the chrome.

A number of folks have inquired about my “beefy”, no bounce rigid fog light mounts.

    BD14F1B8-137E-473F-A66E-3109AA389DD5.jpg

These are actually mounts that I had leftover from an automatic gate opener.
    https://www.amazon.com/Mighty-Mule-MM572W-Automatic-Opener/dp/B07YP7JXWT

    7644F3BB-09B0-4D0D-B1E4-507820A96283.jpg

I did find these as a kit, but may be a little too expensive to purchase for just the mounts.
    https://www.ebay.com/c/1068045764

    09F75B3D-5236-4981-8FF7-56B00353775C.jpg

If one really wanted these mounts, and were persistent, they could find them more cheaply I’m sure.
Even contacting the manufacturer to ask for “ replacements” may yield good returns.
I was just fortunate enough to have some left over.

As you can see from the pics, the pre stamped holes make for easy mounting and a place to relocate the wire bracket and the upper slots give some adjustments on the light themselves.

    Hope this helps.

    These brackets will not bounce!

I was going to wrap mine.
I didn’t even think about heat shrink tubing.
    So much easier.

As a lot had already said they're great. When I first installed them it felt cheap but it grew on me. I even took my truck to the car wash and they survived it, that was one of my worries.

    I have a 2nd Gen.

    Will these work for mine?

Also where can you find them?

I just started a thread on the 2nd gen asking about this exact thing a few minutes ago! Haha!

These particular ones won’t, as the font on the “TUNDRA” badges are different.

That said, I got these for my daughter’s Gen 2 a couple of months ago. They aren’t overlays, but actual black badges. Great price and quality. They are very well made. Only issue is that the adhesive they come with really sucks. I took the adhesive off of these, and used some 3M double sided tape I got at Advanced Auto.

It doesn’t come with the Toyota grill emblem, but those are easy enough to come by.
