Jumped on the band wagon as well and thought my chances were good seeing the product pics on the site showing greasable ball joints for both sides....ended up getting one of each.

@The Patriot 1776 let us know if they address the part exchange for you.

They sent another UCA and it too had a no grease zerk. This one came in the normal box inside of a bigger box. The bigger box had no damage but the normal box inside was hammered to shit. I’m sending it back and keeping the set they originally sent. They said they have no control over which one you receive and that they’re equal, for all intents and purposes.

I’m going to order a set if anyone wants swap arms that way we can get the same ones. I just don’t want one of each on my truck.

If you get one (part # ending in 3) with a grease zerk, I’ll swap ya.

Would it be worth it to spend the extra $120 on the JBA set?

    Anybody picked these up recently?
Looks like the cost may have dropped a little. I'm looking to replace by UCAs and was headed for some SPCs or JBAs until i stumbled on this. I'd be hoping for the greasable BJs but it sounds like kind of a crap shoot.
Can anybody weigh in on the SPC vs JBAs (not a huge fan of the color but they seem pretty solid and affordable

I’ve installed both and prefer the adjustable of the SPC over the JBA.

thanks @thepatriot1776, I think i've decided to go the SPC route for the same reason. I was hoping to jump on these Mevotechs but I can't find them anywhere, everyone seems to be sold out of the ones to fit first gen Tundras.
Anybody speculate if/when a place like Rock Auto might restock...or was it more likely a one time sell off thing?

I installed these the same way I installed 2 sets on Tacoma’s but I’m now thinking it may be different on the Tundra. The Tacos have a completely different type bushing that’s almost like a heim joint encased in rubber. For those that installed the SPC/Mevotech UCA did you use the big factory washers against the nut and bolt head then the 2 supplied washers between the frame and bushing of the UCA? In this order:
    Bolt
    Factory washer
    Bushing
    Washer
    Frame
    Washer
    Bushing
    Factory washer
    Nut

That’s what I did but I read that on the Tundras you don’t reuse the big concave factory washers and DONT need one between the bushing and frame. You just use the new washers on the outside of the bushings, in this order:
    Bolt
    Washer
    Bushing
    Frame
    Bushing
    Washer
    Nut
Can anyone confirm which is correct for the Tundra?
    Thanks!

I don’t have firsthand experience with the mevo/Spc but I helped @Larmand with his Total Chaos ones and they had 4 washers total each side. One for each side of the bushing on both holes.
Interesting it’s not the same way for these.

The bushings are all of a similar if not identical design though.

I removed them & redid the washers like the other set of directions say. Took me <1 hour to do both this time, by myself. I originally researched this because I can't figure out a wicked popping in my front end that I thought was maybe the UCA's. It's actually the front shocks going to full extension & banging when topping out. Thanks.

Just SPC's from a Tacoma to a Tundra are completely different bushings. They don't resemble each other at all.

Ha! Wrong. He answered with “their almost all identical” and all I did was point out that they are, in fact, not “almost all identical”.
How sweet of you to sweep in and stick up for him, though. Good job!

Was holding out to see what black Friday deals come up for UCAs but I think these from rock auto are hard to beat. Although the Ironman 4x4 set looks really nice but not sure if it's worth 150 more. You guys still happy with these?
