Not anytime soon but I can tell you it was done just as the instructions call it out. I had more money than time or I'd have done them myself, its a pretty straight forward install and the instructions are clear

I am on the fence with a 4.88 regear and rear e-locker. A part of me wants the ARB, but another part of me wants the simplicity of the e-locker. I just hope it is more reliable than what I have read regarding the ARBs moving parts that can complicate things.

For those that have done front lockers also, is it worth it? Do you find yourself using it often? I'm getting the rears for sure but the fronts I am uncertain about.

I am curious to hear some feedback, too. I just don’t want to break anything with the IFS system.

How often do both of your rears have no traction while only one of the fronts has traction? Answering that will tell you how much you'll use a front locker. It's probably very rarely, depending on the type of driving you usually do. I'd bet if you are even questioning if you need one, the answer is: no, you don't.

To add to this, how often do you find yourself winching out of something? Would you like to potentially reduce the amount of winch pulls? If rarely and no then you don't need lockers. A winch is more useful for other woopsies, even if you have a locker.

Do you have a wiring diagram to do the elocker to the switch pro? Is it as simple as 1 neg and 1 power going to the switch pro without all the other non sense?

I’m getting ready to order the rear locker. Seems like the E-locker is the way to go. I’m not regearing right now. I have on board air but still think e-locker is the way to go, paired with a switch pro. What gear oil are y’all running?

If you’re even thinking of regearing, you should do it now. You’ll be halfway there. I wish I had when I installed my lsd.

I just don’t know if I want to do the regear now. I just bought 305-65-18 K02s and I’m not planning of going bigger on tires. If I do it will likely take me 4-5 years to wear these out. I really want the locker for getting around some new property I just bought. Has anyone felt the need to regear with that tire size?

That’s only about 1.5” over stock. Yeah I wouldn’t regear for that size.

That’s what I was thinking too. I’m about to pull the trigger with sdhq on the locker, dual battery kit and a switch pro. How has their customer service been? Does anyone have a discount code for them? I’m about to drop 3100 on those 3 items.

I ordered my switch pro from sdhq and a few other things. Shipped fast. I haven’t needed to contact them for anything. They post on here every so often.

Have you looked at the genesis dual battery kit? I went with that one so I wouldn’t have to move the washer fluid reservoir.

I have looked at that kit. How have you liked it? I thought there were some clearance issues on the 19-20 if you had led headlights. I added the pro lights to my truck. Also I have the Rago dual arb compressor mount and wasn’t sure ide have clearance for the genesis kit aswell. Plus a lot of extra weight on the drivers side. Did you use the full kit or just the bracket and build your own wiring?

I got the full genesis kit. So far it’s worked really good. I have the 18 led headlights and it all fit. The only issue I have is the lip of the holder sticks out over the fuse box, even with moving the box back an inch or so with the brackets they provide. They updated the design recently and sent me the new one. This summer I’m going to put the new one in and use bolts. They provide nutserts. I’ve heard of other having issues with those, but mine are holding. I have my arb compressor on the passenger side by the firewall.

I also got the monitor screen. You can check each batteries voltage and even jump yourself from inside the truck.

The Genesis is a good kit in components but there is no way I could deal with that rats nest of a wiring setup under my hood.

I’d like to do the e locker as well but I think a true LSD will suite me just fine. While I off-road I am not in that deep that I need a locker. Would really like a true LSD because this electronic LSD crap from Toyota is awful and most of my time is pavement and when I am off-road it is only moderate.

I have the e locker with nitro gear and put in 80w-140. If you’re not getting gears then the 75w-90 will be fine. But if you do get gears go with what ever they recommend

That’s what I saw also from a few people. That the battery tray from genesis was good but the wiring setup was a bit different. Electronic lsd is a waste and I can’t believe Toyota did that really. Hopefully the newer trucks will have selectable lockers. Even tho I probably won’t buy one for 10 years or so. I’ll have to much invested in this one.
