Right On ! I just returned from Cabrillo National Monument, Point Loma and Shelter Island.
Point Loma ~ the home of Don Larson and David Wells ~ a couple of MLB pitchers of note.

Here's a stack of driftwood we discovered on our walk along the ocean near the Mexican border with the US in Imperial Beach, CA.





The body of water in the foreground is the mouth of the Tijuana Slew. In the background you can see Tijuana, Mexico. We were standing in the very most southwesterly corner of the contiguous USA.

Another glassy day on San Diego Bay at high tide late in the morning. This vessel had been gone for some time and returned recently after a fishing trip.
This is the view from our favorite local coffee shop at the south end of the bay.

Played around with night mode on my phone. I took more pictures, and will make a separate post with those.

These were taken at the Spillway, Lake Malone State park, Ky.

Taken this summer. These little dudes are hard to photograph.

 

Thats impressive. Nice shot . I always get a blur . Never can get the the suckers to sit still whether im using a camera and a tripod or a phone.

I was there for 3 hours to get one good frame. It was a quick free hand shot that I thought wasn't going to work and I was pleasantly surprised when I worked the frames.

Humming birds are definitely an exercise in patience and persistence.
