I need to add to the list what type of hold down you have. It is either a straight version or an upswept version.

    0. Coupe, textured black with gloss white TRD - straight
    1. delz05, textured black with gloss red TRD - straight
    2. speedtre, satin/brushed aluminum with gloss red TRD - upswept
    3. empty_lord, textured black with gloss red TRD -straight

    5. flyfisher, satin/brushed aluminum with black TRD - upswept
    6. CodyP, textured black with gloss white TRD - upswept
    7. RR60, textured black with gloss white TRD - straight
    8. jImmegart, textured black with gloss white TRD - straight

I am going to take some dimensions off the upswept model and we will figure out whether you need a straight or an upswept model. Or you can use the spacer under the optima and use a straight version.

    Just an update.

I am in the process of machining the straight ones and I am machining a prototype of the upswept model.

Couple of pics for everyone which have been posted in that link above. Sent to me free for feedback was a prototype basic Aluminum finish. I sprayed the TRD Red and then Clear Coated the entirety with Aluminum Wheel Clear Coat all of which is readily available from your corner auto parts store.

The Hold Down Bracket is high quality and looks good. Stoked!

I am giving a little update.

I have the straight models machined and ready to go to the powdercoater.

I have asked the people with the straight versions for money. You can send me a deposit of $30 now and the balance of $65 when I am ready to ship. I expect to ship the straight versions in about 2 weeks.

The up swept model is being machined this week. I still need to do a test fit before I can make a run. I expect this to happen pretty soon.

I have shipped most of the straight versions this week. In the kit, there is a round black spacer that goes under the front mount (if you need it). It depends on the height of your battery. If you have a tall battery, you may need to use this spacer. If not, then do not use it.

    DSCN0922_zps10fkiepj_e0840190a66008e833c29ce81d9d6fd97cc59d9b.jpg

I shipped these with a button head screw for the front mount (instead of a hex bolt). These have slightly lower head height.

    DSCN0918_zpsw6tcsq6s_13ad28c03a9740a7262ba614c1568d7ce71ee0bf.jpg

I also shipped these with a slight longer J bolt for the rear. This was to give you a little wiggle room for different height batteries. You need to check your hood clearance on the j-bolt length and the front mount, especially if you are using the black spacer under the front mount. DO NOT SLAM YOUR HOOD DOWN UNTIL YOU CHECK YOUR CLEARANCES.

If you need to cut back the j-bolt, it is easily done with a hack saw.

I have the upswept design. He hasn't asked for money yet on that design. I think he is still working it out, but it looks close to being done.

Thank you @Coupe ! No complaints, Only thing is I could not find an allen that fit the four on the bottom. All my hex are mixed though and I just used a wrench instead.

I am machining the rest of the upswept design this next week.

When I am ready to go to the powdercoater I will ask for the money for the upswept versions.

I made a few extra of the straight model for those of you that did not get in on the group buy.

I have them in textured black with red TRD and raw aluminum.

Pretty sure only double cabs. The core support is taller. That’s also why my radiator didn’t fit.... because it was for a double cab... 1” taller rad

I am ready to take parts to the powdercoater for the Upswept model. I have pmed people on the list for the upswept model for money.

I made a few extra, so if you did not get on the list and are interested in buying one, shoot me a PM.

I also have a few extra of the straight version. I have these in raw aluminum and textured black with gloss red in stock.
