As a guy who sometimes drops wrenches, those long exposed bus bars with bolted connections make me as nervous as a "long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs". Yeah, I know, the red finish on the positive bus bar is probably insulation, but its bolted connection is bare and prominent. I already own a couple of "burned" end wrenches. :welder:

Yes I agree im.just super careful when working around it and may also do more to protect it
I have been in the battery business since 2010so it's very normal for me( forklift batteries are way more dangerous and I worked on them for 2 years )

2 years and 30k miles when mine suddenly died. Got a warranted replacement from Toyota. If it dies I will seek a more robust option.

My 2014 OEM battery died suddenly in 2019. I replaced it with a Napa (Deka) battery. Pretty much have Napa batteries in everything I own except my ATV with has a Duracell.

We use DEKA as well. Been reliable so far.

We found our local shop carry's them and they are more cost friendly than anything you can get at the major auto parts chains.

I've had a terrible time trying to find these reasonably local to me and when I need a battery I usually NEED a battery.

I'm fortunate to have an actual Interstate Battery store in my town. It is very convenient.

What battery terminals are you using? Do you recommend them?

This makes my skin crawl. These pictures are the perfect example of why using a Blue Sea fuse panel (w/breaker style cut-off)is a great idea.

I've got a 2015 and just about to hit 70k miles with the original battery. Sometimes it depends on your driving... if you do quick short trips and your battery isn't being fully recharged, your battery life will be cut short.

My wife works 1.5 miles from home. She has a 2015 Lexus with under 25k miles. Had to replace her battery a couple years ago because she doesn't drive enough to fully charge it.

Are their any real benefits of buying AGM over OEM?
