I have a 2012, 4.6L Tundra that lost power at 60MPH. I tried restarting it, it would re-fire but only run for a second or two then start idling rough and shutdown again. No warning or indicator lights would come on UNTIL it shut off completely. Then the check engine light and the A/T Oil Temp light would come on. Towed it to a friends house and let it sit overnight. Tried starting the next day, same thing, will start briefly then shut off with the same lights coming on. It has sat for 2 days now and tried starting again this morning, same thing. Called auto parts stores and asking about a sensor and none seem to be able to tell me if they have exactly what i'm looking for. Please help!

Test the battery, a weak battery can cause all sorts of computer related problems.

DTCs? Why not scan for codes. It may be 9 years old but it can still scream for help. Likely a sensor failure.

You need to buy a scan tool or get the engine light scanned to start diagnosis. We can't tell you what it is over the internet.

Walmart, harbor freight, and your auto parts stores should have scan tools. A cheap $30 one will scan the engine related codes.

Yeah, check for a CEL. Check battery. Don’t take advice for the auto parts store over the phone.
