37s on 2/1 lift. Trimming and yadda yadda. These were 37x13.5 on an 18 offset that cleared the stock fenders. I put a 1/8” washer on the stock rubber bump stops to keep from destroying the inner core support fenders. The plastics will need to come out if you’re going to jump it, but you can rock crawl just fine.

The advantage of 37s on big stuff far outweighs the 1/2” limited uptravel.

Since this video we’ve gone to 0 offset beadlocks.

My wife driving in Death Valley (it’s her truck after all. LoL) with the beadlocks. Not aired down much here as we needed the break over clearance without sliders.

It’s not too bad. I want gears badly, but it works fine for towing for now. Just a lot of gear hunting.

Very nice setup. We have 3 kids so we aren't cab camper status yet...when they leave, GAME ON. For now we trailer our tent and gear.

What bumper is that? Has the right width I think, looks clean and still sturdy.

    Thanks man

I built the bumper myself. I operate a little welding shop around my real job.

Ok wait....I had to check and I confirmed that I also commented on the SCS Ray 10 page. You're gonna have to PM me a price. Or you need to make it a full time thing...it stood out and caught my eye twice now. I won't be putting one on tomorrow...but...when I do, I need to have this bumper haha.

Nice work, I’d put that bumper up in my top choices for the 3rd Gen imo. :fistbump::headbang:

Did you have to cut a lot of the cab mount to pull this off?

I’m not @Bates5450 but I did stay a Holiday Inn Express once.

With those Icon wheels he shouldn’t have had to cut very much for the 37s. They have a high offset which helps suck the tire in and away from the body mount.

If he’s running wheel spacers, he would likely need to trim more aggressively, depending on the size of the spacer. A 1.25” spacer would probably be fine, more than that would need some additional trimming.

ok so if I got this right to get away with 37s and no glass I would need a offset of +18mm-25mm? I have been going over this for days. Really limits the wheel options if I want to tuck 37s on a stock fender truck with 17s lol

Just got everything together. No rubbing in normal driving. Will get a alignment before taking it off-road.

    yep, and yep.

    Rock Warriors
    Icon Speed Six
Both will need about a 1” spacer to get into the right offset range.

Or look into 18s. the options open up a lot, but they’re 18s. (Realistically that’s a half inch less sidewall between the ground and the rim, so, not a huge deal, but you know...)

you say the icons will also need a spacer to dclear? i thought the icons are offered in a +25mm offset.
Let me ask you this, between a +25 and a +35 which one is going to be the better choice with 37s. I'm definitely more concerned with suspension usability then looks.
    thanks for the help

What control arm? Any chance you have a photo of how much preload you have in there. About to pick up some Kings and just trying to gauge if it’s the right choice. Also are these the extended version? Thanks, truck looks great

That’s going to actually depend on the wheel width.

A 9” wide rim should have around +25
An 8.5” wide rim should have around +18

the difference between a 25 and 35 is 10mm or about 3/8”, so not much difference. At that point the question of which tire you’re going to use comes into play since they each have different reported and actual diameters, and their shoulder profiles are different as well.

The +35 will be sucked in a little more, which is great for staying off the body mount, but starts to pull the tire closer to the UCA, sway bar and skid plate.

FWIW, our 18x9 were +25 offset and we ran a 13.5” wide tire. So you should be just fine with +35 offset and 12.5” wide tire
