left turn signal hyper flash just started

Some stuff

so, my left turn signal just started hyper flashing. the right does not. taillights and headlights were upgraded 3 years ago and this has never been issue. front bulb is not LED. rear is a LED but the unit has a built in resistor.

what might have caused this to start? where should i start looking?
