DIY Rustoleum bed liner bulge has been installed

Surround next week. I don't expect it last forever and will likely have to touch up regularly...but thought I'd try

    IMG_20200912_105224.jpg IMG_20200912_110718.jpg

Removed the OEM hood deflector too. Had I known more about trucks when we bought it, I would have never agreed to it

    Trying not to mod it
That liner looks great! Cavalry Blue (and the other non metallic colors) really to look good with black highlights. How did you prep the chrome on it?

Bought a used 2014 Grille and bulge for $75 on Kijiji

Disassembled. Sanded. Self etching primer. Adhesion promoter. Bed liner. Week to cure

I will have to remove my 2019 Insert with TSS and put in bedlined surround.

I get to play this game now, what’s in the box!?
Hoping to install this weekend! Wasn’t planning on spending anymore money on the truck this year but this was way too good to pass. I scored a CRAZY deal for this!

You bastards win... RCI bare aluminum skiddy skid. Vs Stock, there’s really no comparison...:102394B7-15D6-4C8D-88A6-46B13AC8F1FD.jpg

Installed it looks pretty damned handsome...:

    D57960F7-7F30-4817-B7FD-92835477D11F.jpg

It’s lighter than what it may look like, but it’s extremely rigid. It’ll do just fine for my purposes. Install took about 45 minutes from taking the stock piece of foil off to tightening the last bumper cover clip. I haven’t decided if I’m going to coat it with something that will repel any sort of oxidation. I’ll see how it holds up in the short term. For now I’m very pleased with it. Also, a huge shout out to the small Kobalt tool kit I keep in the truck. The 1/4” drive ratchet on that kit is one bad mofo and whipped this install. It broke loose the studs that had been run back up with an impact by the dealer after the first oil change... also the last one they’ll do now.
