Does this module let you pause the up/down in the middle somewhere, or is it only all the way up/all the way down?

You can pause at any spot, just hit button again and it stops immediately!

So it sounds like these modules function exactly like OEM then.
My 2018 Tacoma TRD OR worked exactly like this also... and I sure miss it.

Yes sir, you can stop these at any point just by hitting button a second time...they’ll stop right where they are

Do you know how it works with the two stage window switches? Like if I wanted to add this to a switch that has auto down, but not up, would the two stages of down behave differently or the same?

Instead of mounting the AutoLoc in the back for the rear window, do you think it would still be able to be installed at the switch in the dash instead? That way, you don’t have to run lengths of wiring and it’s all in one place

Pretty cool.. thanks for the vid! I might look into adding one to my wifes passenger side door of her Subie. Both my tundra and audi have the driver and passenger side 1 touch..it bothers me when my wife holds the button up the entire time when all she has to do is flick it up and let it go..lol

Hmm, that’s a good question...I’m honestly not sure, I’d have to test it out but I’m thinking that if you already have auto down, you may just have to hook up the “up wires” from the module...along with power and ground of course...I can’t confirm this since I’ve never done it, but it makes sense

Yea absolutely, I don’t see why not!...it would be same as door switches so I don’t see why it wouldn’t work, not a bad idea!

I did this on my 2014 SR5 that had driver only auto down. I hooked both ways up. It kinda bypasses the 2 stage of the switch. Auto down with a momentary press, and auto down with a complete press to the click. I would say like OP said , if you only hooked up the up wires, it may work different. But you may also need diodes or something because the window motor wires just flip flop polarity to reverse direction. At least in my 2014.

Back when I did this to my 2014, I believe there is an actual factory module in each door and the switches are 2 stage low current. Meaning they only tell the module what to do. Where as the standard switches are high current. Meaning the power goes through the switch.

Anyone know what wires to snip for the rear window on a 2017?

I just discovered that you lose the window lock feature once you add these. Keep that in mind if you have little ones that play with the windows.

Thanks for the info!...maybe I’ll make an update video for the channel (giving you credit of course...lol), I didn’t realize that at all...that’s a pretty popular video on the channel and I like to give my viewers as much info as possible, I wonder if there’s a way around that

On your DC + and - to the battery I'm hoping you fused the + lead at the battery. I would have just moved the fuse for the module near the battery.

Did some troubleshooting today on the rear door windows. Trying to figure out the window lock feature. My best guess is that the switch housing has a relay in it because another wire gets 12v when window lock is on. Hope this makes sense. I don't see a way to bypass to keep the window lock switch working. Hopefully someone smarter than me can figure it out.

I finally fished my autoloc install. Attached is the wiring color code for 19 Tundra Crew Max. Please put it where members can find it easily. Thanks for the video on this, it was very helpful.

this is crazy !! this is the reason why I have not bothered to go thru all the work of posting any mods I have done. the time it takes to film, make sure the camera has a good angle, sound, light, edit, post and plus make a step by step write up even though all the steps and all the details are on the video. all that work and all the effort this guy put on making this information available to us and 99% of you all busting his balls because he didnt spoon feed you the damn link to the product itself? so what if he gets something from the views or the clicks on his links? then go figure all this shit out on your own. crazy !! @2020Platinum good job and thanks for the info since everyone is too busy bitching about you not posting the link to even thank you. thank you. over 30 posts and only two people bothered to say "thank you" sad.

:monocle: little confused about who's complaining and needs to be spoon fed. Maybe I missed a post? Personally I like and installed the 3lw module instead of hacking up my wires for this option. But it was the OPs video that helped me decide this was not the mod for me. Very grateful for that.

Regardless of opinions, I don't think anyone is being negative to the OP. He is on here a lot sharing knowledge and tutorials.
