Good eye!!! I have 3 of them. The one you see is an 85 250sx!!
I have an 86 and 87 sx that are in the works or restoration. The 85 in the pics is mine from when I was a kid, still all original exceptthe plastic tank and seat cover, nothing done to the motor or mechanics at all. I have had it for 25 years. Here's a pic of my daughter on it last year. Ill try to take more

Very Nice! You're bringing back a lot of memories. I grew up with an ATC90, riding on the ice at a lake in NH. Good times!

My big brother eventually got a '86 ATC250R, and eventually I got a TRX250R. The quad was fun, but I missed the three wheelers...

Both of those 250R's are sick rides, soooo fast. I mever owned one but rode a couple. The trike was scary at times.
I have mine registered in NH so I can take it to lakes in NH and NY for fun or ice fishing. They are so fun in the winter. Im hoping to get a 2nd one up and running for this winter. I'd love a 110 or 125 for my daughter but they sre getting hard to find and crazy expensive. My 250sx would probably sell for 2k easy.

yeah... they were fast. And loud! I finally let mine go because there was no place to ride it without getting the cops called on me.

That ATC90 is still sitting in my mom's barn. Must be 30 years now or more since anyone rode it. Maybe it's time to restore it?

Those 90s are worth some good money, especially the older ones from the 1970swith the rimless balloon tires, the tires that still hold air sell for 1000 bucks a pop in good shape. Get that thing running!!!

    Today I changed shifter handles.
The new one is nice to grip, as the old new one was too. I’m torn between them,
What do you guys & gals think.

All the blue looks good! I'm debating trying to paint the stock shifter or picking up one of those TRD ones. Did you have issues or just wanted a blue shifter?

If anyone buys the shifter pictured ask me how I mounted it. lol There’s no instructions so naturally I took it apart. It’s solid

I picked up this same T handle. It is very solid as you said. Just takes a little thinking to get it mounted up solid.

Yesterday was a hot day, nice blue skys. Decided to take a drive in the Tundra. My OCD kicks in and all the work I put in the console looks good except the shifter rod is still chrome. Got back home, looked around the garage and decided to use 1/2 inch Matt Black shrink tubing in the shift rod, Wa-la no more chrome rod.

Check the build link in my signature.
You guys that have moved/added switches to the useless credit card holder, or anywhere else down near the console/shifter:

HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET THE WIRES ROUTED DOWN THERE?

When I pull off my lower trim and my AC controls, I'm looking at a damn-near solid wall of plastic back there. I've tried to fenagle a wire down there a few different ways and keep coming up with nothing. I need to get a USB plug fished through there, along with other wiring, but I'm having a hell of a time doing it.

Looking forward to some insight/details. Thanks!

    Working on it!
My switch block is behind the shifter on the console...running the relay/switch wire is simple (as both come from under the driver's floorboard area). I ran my wires high (one from the firewall seal plug and combined it with the fuse tap) under the floorboard area, wire ties, and ran it down under the console to the new switch block.

I can imagine the A/C area is a bit more involved...but I will be pulling soon to install the AJT black trim pieces to finish the black out.

That rocker panel switch is exactly what I need! Love all the blue accents too. Any chance you could refer me to where you purchased those switches? Thanks in advance
