Went to put in the exhaust blocker plates and my exhaust flange bolts all broke. I sprayed them and left them over night by years of WI salt weakened those little bolts beyond saving. Any suggestions on how to disable the exhaust flow without the plates??????

From what I gather, if the exhaust plates are not installed, the exhaust pressure sensor may throw a code that put’s it right back in limp mode.

i would imagine (just a feeling at this point) that there is another way to keep that pressure sensor from getting a bad reading. Still trying to figure it out because, my plates can not go in at this point. The corrosion on those flange bolts was just to bad and they all snapped off with only a slight bit of torque. At least 50% of the bolt’s thickness was rust upon further inspection. You would think that I could just pinch off the exhaust pipe, but that’s a small space to work in.

The question I have is that if the system is disabled, wouldn’t that eliminate the need for the plates?

Deptrai- Thanks for that. At least now I can drive it and worry about the blocker plate at some later time.

Anyone figure out how to fix the broken off air tube flanges? Broke 3 out of 4.
