Same. But still a DV8. When you buy direct from DV8 or authorized dealer you will pay more. Same thing with SPC upper control arms. Mevotech sells actual SPC control arm for $240 less than SPC or Toytec for example, but you basically get no support. I bought my DV8 from KO but dealt with DV8 directly once I had issues. Couldn't help much because I didn't get the bumper from them. KO will give you very little support. Support costs $. Avoid 3rd party vendors. Buy direct or from authorized dealers.

Just got a response from DV8, they say no outer braces are required for this bumper because "they don't add extra strength".
In fact, they just forgot to add outer braces to my package.
So I believe similar thing could result in the following for the previous owner:
And here is how outer braces should look like:
They are to help to mount the bumper on the continuation of the frame (not just solely on its end)
Am I missing something or DV8 just bulshiting me?

My DV8 came with those brackets.

Got it. DV8 is in fact bulshiting me.
    They tell:
"we eliminated that bracket from the kit. After looking at it we realized it did not add to the strength of the bumper and removed the factory tow hooks, So not needed and you get to keep the tow hooks"
However, they did include in my package double caps:
According to their own manual, these caps are to fix outer braces on the frame continuation.
Anyway, if it is the case and they indeed decided to exclude outer braces for all the products, it is a subject for complaint to nhtsa

I used those same brackets and was still able to use my tow hooks...but I have to admit the brackets were useless. My 5 year old grandson could engineer a better bumper.

I am still going through the painful process of return. DV8 delays the conversation, and I am going to complain to ebay. If the return is not successful, will create braces by myself.

The biggest bitch about returning it.....is re packaging it..... and calling a freight company that's willing to pick it up at your house. It's freaking heavy.

I will not do that, but I wish to: include in the return box a label "take your cr..AP back"

I think you talked me out of the DV8 bumper in another thread. I haven't even tried to install it after hearing the discussion on it from this site. I, like others, were thinking of the price. But I may look at a bumper closer to the truck like the Victory Striker. It's a little lighter and may help with the weight on the new Icons I'm getting.
