    Yes, you’re right.
    I was like wtf!

    However, they were extremely apologetic.
The father went out to the shop and talked to the the son.
The father then apologized profusely and explained that they were very busy that day and figured his son could handle a simple alignment. “He had done them before”.
As I Was leaving, the son was pulling out of the parking lot.

I later learned that the father sent the son home that day with no pay and he worked for free until he paid the shop back.

    But yeah, hazardous and dumb.

I’m all for teaching kids skills and all, but at least oversee the work. Sounds like the dad took care of you and is doing the right thing by making the son pay the shop back through labor. Hopefully, they’ll watch him closely as he works it off!

Any ideas on how to black out the shiny face of the radio buttons? I'm thinking a matte black vinyl. I like the solid feel and texture of the side of the knobs and don't want to replace with the AJT. Does TVD make anything like this?1C366C84-A21E-4B96-987E-1873D76BB4A3.jpg 1E40EEE4-57D5-42F0-931C-653A31258BA1.jpg

I used hobby sanding sticks. The ones that are used to sand plastic parts for scale models. Then cleaned with alcohol, prepped with primer followed by plastic paint (satin black). The same process was done for the vent and climate control rings, climate knobs, and steering wheel emblem.

Looks good. Be sure you follow the BST rules for that chrome stuff. You don't wanna get booted for a violation.
