I will be ordering my Tundra by the end of the year. I am getting the double cab longbed 4x4 5.7 liter tow package. Is the $500 Entune Audio Plus worth the money? I want accurate, reliable navigation along with a variety of music choices. I am not interested in any aftermarket systems. I want the truck set up from the factory.

Don't get it. Spotify, Pandora, all that will run through the Bluetooth. You'll have better maps on google maps app, just get a phone mount like the Mob Armor one. Saves you ~470$.

my truck came with the Entune Premium Audio. I think the navigation is pretty good, but it is not quite as good as stand-alone gps's. however, it is integrated into the system so you don't have to futz with other devices (a major plus for me). I don't use any of the entune music apps. instead, I use music apps on my iphone and just connect it to the stereo through the blu-tooth connection. The entune system also allows some minor controls of the devices connected through blu-tooth. so I can select different albums or tracks to play.

I think it is worth it, but its your 500 bucks :)

    EDIT:
ohh.... it also comes with satellite radio. that was a requirement for me. that's about all I listen to.

I have this in my truck as well....I honestly really enjoy it. I don't pay for the satellite radio so I don't have it...but the option is there.

I agree with Netmonkey and 4x4 Angel. I like not having a mount for the phone cluttering up the truck. The sound is acceptable for me. I've been in aviation for 30 years and my hearing is shot anyway. I'm not 16 years old and driving with the windows down blasting the neighborhood. As Netmonkey said I think it is worth it, but its your 500 bucks :)

You can down load the scout GPS link app from the google store as a standalone and see if it does what you need..

I almost never use the nav. often use Pandora app as I prefer controlling from head unit and not phone.

I think screen size is same no matter which level you get.

Anyone got a DVD to play? I'm going to try when I get home.

Has anyone heard of people purchasing the entune premium as an after market option? I found this video just now that was posted yesterday on YouTube going over an upgrade an install. I just bought my Tundra SR5 on Monday(stoked by the way) and remember researching the Entune Premium option but not being able to afford it at the time. Seems like a decent investment if I plan on having the truck for 10-15+ years. Maybe someone else knows a way to research this swap and possibly find a better deal? Anyone heard of a buy back of the other system when swapping? Are there dealers out there that do this? Thanks!

Are you thinking of nav as a reason to buy? I would def not spend extra for it. Of all tech in cars these days it seems Nav is the quickest to become dated and useless.

I did not do any research yet, and just now realized that Garmin has some sweet options on lifetime maps and traffic GPS monitors for $250 and below. You're totally right too. Me being hasty.

I was searching about this and came to bring this thread back to live. I have the Entune Plus head unit and it does not have a GPS.
