    Hey Everyone,

I currently have a 2015 DC which is beautiful but I just welcomed a newborn into the family and the room back there is really insufficient (also have 2 decent sized dogs). I am considering getting a Crewmax and found that this one just came up. Low miles and looks in really great shape but it is a 2nd gen. I can get over the less technology but am worried about bed rust since I am in NE PA. Is this a idea or am I just better holding out for a better deal on a 3rd Gen Crewmax next year at some point when I have more equity in my trade. Thoughts?

low miles and a Rock warrior edition. very nice.
as far as tech you can add aftermarket radio/nav, remote start and they even sell LED headlights. It's pretty much same truck as a gen 3.
for rust, go look up underneath truck and also lift the plastic bed cover to check for rubbing/rust.

truck also has tonneau cover so that would protect inside of the bed.

This is the cleanest second gen I have seen. There is only one picture that shows the frame slightly, and it might have been replaced, or it was a really well cared for truck that was barely driven. I would definitely get under it and make sure there is no rust hiding. It looks like the dealer has done a lot of work cleaning it up. If it were out here in Utah, I might have scooped it up a year ago. One thing to note, 3rd gen crew max doesn't have the collapsible rear seat like the second gen. I was severely disappointed when I discovered that my new to me 2014 CM only has the fold up rear seat. I upgraded from a DC to a CM too. It is definitely much roomier, and for my uses I don't miss the smaller bed, the extra room in the cabin is really nice with kids.

Just do it! I felt the same thing with going into a 2012 Sequoia, but after some LED updating and soon an android multi media radio, it will be close to my 2020 specs.

Yeah I am thinking the same. Looks really nice and most of my aftermarket parts (seat covers, bam muffler, rims and tires) can get transferred to right over. I will give them a call tomorrow if they are open!

Yup, I transferred most of the parts too. But front seats are different.

Looks really clean. Probably a nice find but at that price you may be able to find a 2014-15 3rd gen. It wouldn't be a Rock Warrior tho.

Yeah it is a little expensive but used 3rd gens with 80k plus start at 34k and that’s an SR5.
