I know it sounds like a piece of cake since there are so many posts on either installing complete kits or upgrading the fog lamps but...

Fog lights were not an option on my 2017 Tundra SR 8' bed. I bought a complete kit to install fog lights only to discover that (most of) the wiring harness is in there. So, I installed the lamps, hooked them up to the existing harness, installed a relay in the appropriate location within the fuse box and confirmed that there was a fuse in the FOG slot.

Then I opened up the dash to install the switch only to discover that they didn't wire in the switch plug. That is where I'm currently stopped. Anybody know which plug and pins (or wire colors) are the appropriate fog lamp switch wires to hook into?

    Thanks

I can tell you that the switch is on the turn signal lever, on trucks that come with fogs. As to where the wiring would be, no idea.

I don't know if the wiring to the turn signal stalk would be run from the factory, if so, a new stalk with the fog switch may work if everything else is complete. If the wiring isn't ran to the stalk I have no clue.

Good luck! Hopefully someone will chime in that can help!

Well, after following a few threads concerning mods to the fog lighting system, it became apparent which wire is the switch connection to the ECU (J3 pin 28) so I cut it free and connected it up to the new switch such that turning the switch ON grounds J3 pin #28. Everything is working "as advertised" now.
Thank you everyone for giving my question your consideration.

Well, if someone else finds the solution useful, here is a picture from the primary reference I used to install the fog light switch where there was none on the turn signal stock. The physical switch came with the Fog Light kit so it is a perfect match (size and appearance-wise) for the spare slots located on the interior lighting panel to the left of the steering column. It is behind that panel that the ECU and harness connections are located. No tools are required to remove the panels since they snap into place but you will need to be prepared to cut a wire and place crimp connectors upon it. (picture by Daless2)

I cut the pink wire connected to pin #28 of connector J3 about two inches up from the connector and spliced one contact of the new switch to that wire coming from the connector (switch came with wires but feel free to add your own). The other switch wire connects to any of the frame screws (or you can drill and add your own screw into a metal frame component) in order to provide a ground to pin #28 when the new Fog lamp switch is activated.

I had to purchase and install the appropriate relay in the under-hood fuse box since it was left empty from the factory, though the "FOG" fuse was in place.

Upon seeing a ground on pin #28, the ECU determines if your lights are on and not Hi Beam... it then activates the relay turning on the fog lamps. All functions are normal since we are merely connecting a fog lamp switch where there was none from the factory (despite the complete harness being in place).

Hello Alpha, I am installing spyder fog lights on my SR also. Your post is very helpful. My question is after I cut the pink #28 wire 2 inches from the connector and splice it to a ground through my new switch, where does the other end go to? ( the pink wire leaving the connector that I cut) or is that not important? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Alpha, or anyone for that matter, I know this is old but I'm hoping you can help. I was following your steps and about to cut into the pink wire, when I noticed my switch has four wires, not two. Red, black, and two blue. Any ideas? Do i connect all three to the pink and ground the black? Or something else?
    Thank you!
