I just ordered a go rhino BR20 rear bumper for my 2016 Pro and I am now researching lighting options. I kinda like the Rigid D Series flush mount midnight edition spotlight but I don’t know if that’s a good option with the degree of coverage. Go Rhino recommends this Rigid series of lights. Any suggestions or reviews from anyone who has them?
    Thx!

Thx, I just realized I posted this in the Pro forum and moved it to the 3rd generation general forum to get some opinions. I’m going to check out Baja too.

They have interchangeable lenses, which I think is a huge pro when comparing.

Look at Baja Designs @Baja Designs , they are a vendor on here also and offer Forum members a discount. I just put in some Baja amber sport lights as fog lights, they are bright!

I've had the Rigid flush mounts in flood (20 degree) and in diffused (60 degree) on my front bumper (Go Rhino) in the position where the stock fogs are. I started with the flood, and found it too narrow of a beam for a fog light. The diffused does a good job of adding some light right in front of me and off to the side. I also went with the diffused so that they wouldn't bother oncoming traffic. If I could do it again, I would buy the Specter diffused for a little more brightness.

That being said, I don't know if I would go with the spot for a rear light. I would probably lean towards the flood pattern.

My favorite beam pattern for the Rigid cube lights has been the Specter Driving lights. Great brightness and beam pattern. I don't see why it wouldn't work well for a rear back-up light.

I know Baja makes some great lights. I went with Rigid because they seem to be available for a little less money. But when you get into their Specter optics, they're probably closer in price. I'll look closer at Baja for my next lights.

Yes that’s what I’m concerned about with the spot light. I don’t think it has enough width because it is 10*. It’s a nice look but not functional for what I want. I also don’t need the driving light because it is the rear. Kind of stuck in between. I might go with the flood but I’m def checking out Baja first. Thx.

Thanks for posting up. Bailey here at Baja Designs. We do have some great lighting options for you if you're interested in going another route.

Here are some reasons why people choose BD over the competition:
    ClearView Optics
With more useable patterns than any other manufacturer, ClearView® provides you with a light for every zone and a scientific method to the madness. Each optic is designed to illuminate one or more of eight specific Lighting Zones. We put light where you need it which gives you much more usable light and increased performance over the competition. On top of that these optics can be interchanged with our uservice technology.

    uService Interchangeable Lenses and Optics
Our lights feature interchangeable lenses and optics allowing the user to change a lens color or pattern in a matter of minutes. This gives your light a wide variety of uses down the road instead of only applying to one application. This also allows you to fine tune the lighting setup towards your specific needs. All you need to purchases is one of our replacement lens kits:
    https://www.bajadesigns.com/products/Replacement-Lenses.asp

    Limited Lifetime Warranty
These vehicles are investments and so are your lights. We have you covered for many years of use! All of our LED Lights are covered under our Limited Lifetime Warranty which covers manufacturing and design defects. This does not cover damage from a crash or other abuse and neglect including installation errors.

We have much more info on what Baja Designs has to offer in our Baja Designs General Discussion thread. That thread is a great place to share photos, find product info, and ask questions about our product.
    https://www.tundras.com/threads/baja-designs-general-discussion-thread.2844/

My suggestion for the backup lights would be our Squadron Sport or Squadron Pro in Wide Cornering. The Wide Cornering pattern is a 42 degree horizontal beam offering smooth coverage in the nearfield area. This is also ideal for other applications that encounter dust, fog, snow, and other poor conditions.

The Baja wide cornering lens a have on my fogs give a 'wide' spread.
I have flush mount Rigid diffused lights in my stock bumper, if they ever give me issues I will switch them out to Baja's. They give out a wide near-field spread. The baja light give further distance

Thx you for all the guidance. Bailey, I looked at the lights you linked and they are def an option. Do you know if they are compatible with the Go Rhino BR20? I saw that they are 3.5X3.5. I know the rigids which are recommended by Go Rhino are 3X3. If your lights are compatible, I need to fully explore your products.

    Thx

Are the flush mount cutouts already in the bumper? Or is there a universal light tab to bolt a light to? Our Squadron Series lights come in a variety of different options including:

    Squadron Sport, Wide Cornering (3"x3")
    https://www.bajadesigns.com/products/squadron-sport-led-wide-cornering.asp
    [IMG]

Squadron-R Sport, Wide Cornering (Round Bezel) (3.5"x3.5")

And if the cutouts are already in the bumper we've had customers purchase our Squadron Series, Dual Sport Headlight (for bike applications) and custom mount the plate covering the existing flush mount holes.

I will def post a pic when I get it installed. It’s going to GSD coatings first for line x because I don’t want to deal with pulling it off later if the powder coat fails. It’s also on backorder so probably not getting it for another week or so. Thx.

Okay - it appears you can modify that plate to allow one of the above options. Depending on the existing cutouts our lights may bolt right in. It's hard to say without measuring the spacing on the existing mounting holes. Keep us in the loop when you receive everything.
