Since our numbers have been growing, I thought it would be a good idea to have one place to drop our build info and questions. Instead of scrolling through all of them we can start coming in here. Its also another place to BS with one another about the GX's. It might also help other people who are thinking about getting one of these to build and play with.

Hopefully this will get some traction!

    Thanks
It had a Micky Mouse lift on it. I went with OME fronts and rear OME shocks and Icon Progressive overland coils. SPC UCAs.

Up next, 4.88s and an Eaton rear locker. New longer panhard, and upper, lower controls for the rear.

Ironic I just saw this thread on a Tundra forum.

A co-worker is eyeing a new vehicle and will be selling his GX460. Two dealers have already appraised is and haven't offered squat (wholesale or below). So I put in my 2 cents and told him to sell to me rather than the dealer. So I may have one soon, and park my Tundra for the winter.

Just make sure to look to see if the timing cover is leaking. It’s a known issue with the GX. I’m almost done fixing mine. The dealer will charge $2500 for the fix. Just like the tundras with the cam tower leaks.

Sweet! Wish I could do the same. Soon. Once I finish fixing my oil leak I’m putting on my skid plates and finally will be able to take the GX off road. Finally got my fifth wheel for the spare. Took about 4 months to get it, but I finally got it and need to put the tire on it. Then I’m good to go. Well.... that is if my new seal works.

Hope it works for you. Sucks you had to do that repair.
I need to replace my factory skid, it has a big rust hole in it. When I do replace it I'm doing the engine, transfercase, transmission, LCAs and gas tank.
How are the 4.88s working out for you?

Here's my wife's GX470. Nothing like yours, more of a Concrete Jungle Rig.

Nothing crazy, just a set of FN FX Pro Rims wrapped around with Falken Wild Peaks AT3w tires.

I wonder if Longwater Gulch is open all the way? I heard it was. That’s a fun one as well. You cross the river twice. Some really challenging climbs on that trail (from what I remember).

Shouldn’t be an issue for your crews built up wheelers. I would do it in my moderate 99/2000 Tacoma’s with a little bit of throttle :D. Hardly ever got stuck.
