I think went the most expensive route... Had the TRD duals on from day 1 and always felt it was low on torque but boy does it get going in the upper rpms. I hated the helicopter and the lack of a X or H pipe in the TRD, but still a fan of the PRO system. So then DD has a group buy that for the first time, included the TRD dual replacement system. So I happily donated to DD after an excellent phone call and knowledge update with Keith, for the dual 5x16" version with the X pipe and resonators already installed. This way, it has the TRD existing dual tail pipes, and the DD magic in the middle. I gained more torque, and the sound is unbelievable under 3500 rpms. It fades a little above that. (but that might be the whine of the supercharger opening up!) All in all, I think it's the best of both worlds to have the no drone, torqued up, dual outs OEM look but MORE.

You wake your neighbors with the 10" system? Do they sleep in the bed of your truck? o_O

I don’t have resonator on it and our new construction homes come with the thinnest walls it seems like so you hear it start up. They told me they could hear it at 5:15

Those must be super thin walls, and light sleepers. My walls are thin, and I have no resonator, but I don't think I could wake somebody in my house if the truck was 20 feet from the wall. Even if I revved it. :notsure: Maybe if I were to park with the exhaust pointed right at the window to a bedroom 5 feet away, but even then I'm not thinking it'd wake your average person on a normal start up.

I have the 8”. There is literally no drone what so ever on the interstate. Honestly the stock hummed more at cruise than the 8” bam does. We take road trips all the time. My wife and 2 kids have never had any problems sleeping in the truck while cruising at 70.

The TRD is closer in sound to the 10” system as far as normal driving goes.

BAMuffler 100%. The 8" or 10" (if you tow any) would be the systems that would work best for you. Today is the last day of our sale.

TRD you loose low end torque and ours you gain: 1-5 MPG, 3-10 HO and 10-20 Low End Torque. Plus no drone and a way better sound.

I have the budget dumped exhaust which is super loud when you floor it. My younger son hates loud noises and it really only bugs him if the windows are down and I get on it. With windows up it’s prett my well muffled

I am more concerned the the thin walls the houses in your area have. Heating and cooling cost must be crazy. I just got the 8 inch. It is not to loud. I towed my boat 160 miles this weekend and the sound was never a problem. I had no drone. I like the exhaust sound but if you like less sound get the 10 inch. I am glad I made the change to the 8 inch. I order a 10 first. I can barely hear my truck start when I use the remote start if I am in my house. You guys must have some new construction homes.

Exactly what I plan to do once I can find a decent muffler shop near my house.

Thanks and exactly where I got the idea to add a H-pipe. I have that picture saved on my phone to show the shop. Challenge is finding a good muffler shop in my area that has worked with stainless.

Cool. Glad the post was helpful.

Good luck finding a shop. The H pipe gets rid of the helicopter sound, deepens and smooths the tone, and does noticeably help bottom end.

The helicopter sound is annoying. There are plenty of muffler shops near me but most don't get good reviews or familiar with welding stainless.

That's surprising. I always associate California as a hot rod haven.

My guy used a piece of 409 stainless pipe, but regular (non-stainless) mig wire. I just painted the area with some exhaust paint to protect specifically the weld against the salt and brine we deal with in SE PA during the winter.

Someone locally is trying to sell this. Is this a BA one? He removed it from his 2015 CM and went back to stock. He doesn't know much about it.
