I am dying to replace the TRD PRO Grill lettering. After doing some research there seems to be limited choices available for what should be a 5-10 minute mod. I could always remove the letters, sand, paint, and then re-install, but to much work. I've seen the lettering that lights up, but don't care to go that route, and I don't care to have the vinyl one's so it appears I'm left with only 2 choices.

    1. Harmon Customs makes the letting for $49, but I would need to sand & paint before installing.
    2. Tufskinz appears to be the route I'll be taking. They sell them painted, & ready to install for $49.

My question is this, does anyone have any experience with any of these? Which is the better quality, are they both ABS plastic, and the same? Any other options out there, and is this my best route?

Thx @tttrdpro. How long have they been on the truck, & do they use the 3M tape to adhere?

They’ve been on about 4 months. They use double-sided tape, I’m not sure if it’s 3m. So far they seem to still be solidly attached. I have no complaints.

Are they actually completely new letters?

so do you debadge the ones off of the base that attaches to the grill?

No, these cover the original letters on the grill. All you have to do is clean them, wipe them dry, and apply the new ones. They stick directly on top of the old ones. Very easy to do.

Let me know if I can be of any help. I’m the owner of Harmon Customs.

It covers out to where the edge is beveled inward.

I have the Tuffskinz on my grill too. I got the red lettering, been on for about 6 months. No fade and no signs of separation.

I’ve been running tuffskinz for a few years on my Tacoma. Still look like day one.

Ack, I'm hoping to find something that completely covers/removes/replaces all of the grey lettering.

I believe they can be removed. There is a guy on our forum that makes back lighted replacement letters.
