I went 275/70r18, no lift yet. No issues in 7500 miles. If you want to bump up to a 33

My wife and I are also considering placing an order for one before the price increase. Did FWC tell you the price increase will be 12%? Gotta be honest though the thought of going so far over GVWR is leading me to consider a 3/4 ton at the same time...

10-15% was the stated range. Think they have to realign due to new m series and just the price going up.
After my extensive research I’m not overly concerned with the weight. I’m making some suspension mods, getting a lighter shell model, and already rocking e rated tires.
I love my Tundra, I’m gonna stick with it.
FWC is very confident in the 07+ Tundra’s ability to rock their campers.

And after lots of consideration and phone calls we are going to get the furnace and leave off the thermal pack for now.

skey44 ?you have zero issue's with the 275/70r18, no lift, no rubbing, would love to jump to that size tire!! but after reading 10,000 posted on here, not ONE consensus on tires rubbing, some day they don't some day they do!!!

Check out Bailey’s YouTube video, he does a walk around including the interior. Plenty of other videos out there on these.

What my dealership sets them at. I like the ride and I just try to maintain them.

275/70's look great. Love the ATW's for all round performance.

Hey! Are they Cooper AT3 Tires? The truck came with 275/65/18. You installed 275/70/18 on same rims. Are those tires just a little wider???

Truck was stock 265/70 r18 Michelin p-rated which is 32” diameter, put on slightly wider and taller 275/70r18 e-rated 10-ply Falken Wildpeak AT3w 33” diameter. So slight bump in size and much heavier duty.

What type of mpg loss can be expected with this camper?

I went a little different direction and purchased an ATC Bobcat, made for the Tacoma, and attached risers to clear the taller bed and roof. The lighter weight and the narrower width is what attracted me to this camper. It sits even with the bed rails, and the shell model, with a couple additions (furnace, fridge, solar), is still under 1000 lbs. I have 6112's up front, 5160's rear, Ride Rites, Daystar Cradles, E rated tires and everything feels perfect. About 40lbs in the bags and I have 1-1.5" of rake. Been on interstates with wind, washboarded back-roads, and some rather technical off-road excursions and the camper has never moved and the truck hasn't flinched. It hangs out the back less than a foot and I can still tow with hit. Hopefully the next gen tundra will have a full size crew cab and 6.5' bed, this camper will fit perfect.

Put the money down today on a raven Shell model from Mainline Overland NH. We are in for some vehicle based exploration. Suspension upgrades completed yesterday. Early Christmas!

Haven’t had time to take full pics, but here are the suspension upgrades. Had to mallet the edges of factory skid plate to clear 275/70r18 tires post alignment. Just 10-15 whacks per side.

Just wanted to jump in and see if any updates. I'm waiting for my shell model Hawk (Nov. 4th install) which is going on my 2020 Tundra DCLB. I added BFG KO2's, Firestone airbags with Daystar cradles. I'll be close to payload limit and likely exceed for longer trips with 3 passengers.

We usually drive to Baja in November and plan to head down to break the rig in properly. Seems most don't notice any real difference with the camper on the truck's performance. I only plan to have the camper on the shell half time so I don't want to add any leaf suspension mods and hoping airbags will be adequate. I have several friends with various model Tundra/FWC combos and it seems like the ideal camper for our needs.

Looking forward to seeing others rigs!

C1BD3896-A098-4D0E-8023-31CCF1C0D512.jpg It’s on, I love it. Since I’m keeping it on full time I’m getting a leaf upgrade. For on and off use e-rated tires and Airbags are probably fine. I’m not impressed with the Timbren ride quality, but think I’m being picky. On bumpy roads or rough road surfaces it is harsh and I desire more control. Ordered the Dobinsons leaf pack today. I’m right at GVWR before I load out.

88050BF5-9CCC-4197-B5C9-874757AB5669.jpgNice thing about the shell is it’s light. Also nice you can stealth camp in the down mode or withstand extreme weather. Hopefully good spot for the toddler too. I’m going to build a fold up shelf to accommodate the exped mega mat xl.
