I am buying a new Tundra but I am shopping for a used for my Father In law. His budget is a little lower than mine and I am trying to get him to buy a new SR5 with no options but he wants OFF Road package and SR5 upgrade package so it seems I have to find him a used one.

If a 2015 Tundra has 43k miles can he buy an extended warranty through Toyota?

Edit to add not certified pre owned through toyota. Just used

If it's certified by the dealership then yes.

I got mine two years old almost four years ago and certified. Still under warranty.

A little of this and a little of that.
You might not be able to buy one through Toyota but there are a ton of other companies that would love to sell you an extended warranty for his truck. I get calls to my cell phone all the time.

Selling extended warranties on Toyotas seems like a great idea. Why didnt I think of that?

The reasoning for the warranty is spending mid $30's on a vehicle without one isn't smart buying. You might as well buy a beater if you are going to put money into it.
