While out searching for an LED replacement option for my rear turn signals, I discovered SIRUS offered several wiring adapters with built load resistors. None of the adapters matched the bulb replacement for the Tundra rear turn signals, so I contacted them to see if they would consider offer a load resistor solution for the 921 bulb. They did provide the following response:

We do offer a new style of that sized bulb that could bypass that read for majority of cars you could try.
    https://www.amazon.com/SiriusLED-Ex...&qid=1488183474&sr=8-1&keywords=siriusled+921

I took the chance and purchased a pair of these. They arrived today and work perfectly. I simply removed the OEM bulb inserted the replacement LED and signal indication works fine. Ran them for 15 mins straight, no issues. If you are looking for an LED replacement solution and didn't want to hack into your wiring harness to install a load resistor, this is it...

Also I was planning on using a red led. What color does it come out since the led is white ?

Could you post a pic? I want to upgrade to LED's on my 2017 CM, but I'm not crazy about splicing into the stock wiring harness.

I will say this they are brighter the OEM bulbs... Even though the LED is white, with the red lens, they emit a bright red light... Since they are the turn indicators, I'm struggling to get a good picture, took three a minute ago all were when the indicator flashed off or just coming on... it's more difficult than I thought....ok... I'll try and get a picture tomorrow.

It is the same as OP. No adding resistor. All I did was change the bulb. No hyper flash.

I have not been able to locate a solution for the fronts yet. The fronts unfortunately are also CK format and there doesn't seem to be a lot of support for that format.

    Not nearly enough room here!
Had to order more, fried one geeting it hooked up yesterday:facepalm: When I get 'em,I'll make sure to pull the one that's working, to make sure how they need positioned in the housing.Using them in the doors on my 2010 DC. In comparison, they look like they're twice as bright as the LED's I have now:thumbsup:.

How did you fry it? You should be able to plug it in Either direction? Unless you touched the truck body with the light as you are plugging it in? Make sure the light is off when you are plugging it in.

I'm not sure if it has to do with the fact that these LED's are "2 sided" or not. Not really possible to touch anything as they're being installed. The door bulbs are contained in a "capsule" that snaps into the housing which snaps into the door. I'm replacing LED's that have been in my truck for several years but these are just a little larger, so I won't be able to just slap' em in there like the smaller ones.

I’ve got the 2018 LEDs and only the outer whites light up so I don’t know! I’m sure they’d be good though.

Thanks! I've tried them and DRL usually works but the turn signal doesn't. Good to know these work on the turns....

For those that want to know, the Sirius 921 LED turns signals do not work on 2020 models when you have the JDM Astar LED Bulbs in the front. You will get hyperflash.

Vleds is what you will want. Don't use cheap Autozone or Amazon bulbs.

$30 per bulb is a bit steep. And also still seems to need load resistors for hyper flash
