So we were out running errands today; have had absolutely no issues with it, but when I got out of my truck earlier, I happened to look @ my smart key (I've got the push-to-start thing) and saw it blinking rapidly several times.

Unless I'm missing something, literally the only thing I can find about it in the manual is that it blinks 4 times if you put the key in 'battery saving mode.' Pretty sure that's not the case, because afterwards, I was able to unlock the vehicle just fine without meeting the conditions required after putting it into battery saving mode.

So I guess the question is....what is the purpose of that little red LED light on the smart key fob?
