Plastic on back of center console scratched by a galvanized pipe she was loading.

    1) what’s the best way to try to disguise/fix it?
    2) should her punishment be lashes with a wet noodle?

    1. Not sure how to disguise/fix it.
    2. Why would you use a wet noodle when you have some brand-new galvanized pipe? :annoyed:

    3. Keep laughin'

Dang, just T-ing it up for a dick joke.

Got a picture of the damage? I'd say just love with it unless it's crazy bad.

The back panel pops off in under a minute. Just had mine off recently to install a usb. Maybe try to get just that rear panel from a salvage yard depending on how bad it is. A picture might tell if it's able to be repaired.

It’s not bad and I’m not worried. Glad it was her and not me!

If it’s a deep scratch you could fill it in maybe with P Tex or probably better, JB Weld Marine. It’s a putty you knead and put on area to be fixed. Once cured in an hour, sand and paint. Pic would help though. Or just sand any rough edges down to make it look less scraggly.

Yeah, just casually look around for a used piece. It really does pop right off and back on.

As far as the punishment with a wet noodle goes, just wait till you’re in your 60s or 70s, you’ll need some time to kill while you wait for that “little blue pill” to kick in. LOL

I had a few scratches from my dog jumping from the back to the front. Not super deep but after time using 303 I don't even notice them anymore.

Trade it in on a Chevy, that way a scratch will be the least of your worries..

I have a nice scratch across my dash on the passenger side from when I detailing my truck. I was trying to vacuum dog hair from where the windshield and dash meet and scratched it with the nozzle.

Unfortunately it does not take much to scratch those plastic pieces. Soon there will be another and then another and then it will not matter anymore.
I was looking at my seats the other day - driver seat where I sit every day and often eat looks like new. Rear seats where kids sit about 5% of the time is full of stains - just learn to live with it, even though it hurts to see that first scratch on a new truck.

oh man... the same thing happened to me. On the first day of ownership, my wife put a tiny scratch on the center console. I was so annoyed, but what can you do?

The only way to fix it is to get a new truck :)

My wife open the passenger side door hard on to one of the yellow safety post next to walkways. When she hit it she looked at me with her eyes wide open. She knew she [xxxx] up, but there was nothing I could do. Luckily for her, there was no damage. Close call for sure. Shaking my head.

We have to love them no matter what.
