Well, Shine Supply Bug Off is the best chemical I’ve tried. That said, a spray bottle full of water and some Bounce sheets also work great. Just don’t let it sit on he paint for long. Use the Bounce sheets, then go back over it with a detail spray.

There was an article several years ago in a motorcycle magazine covering the best bug remover for motorcycle helmet face-shields. Out of everything that they tried, it was determined that saliva was the best because of the proteins in it help break down the bugs and separate them from the surface.

Drink plenty of water and spend some time spitting on your truck.

I've tried several of the chemical options, but I always go back to @War Machine's dryer sheet method. I just soak the front of the vehicle with the hose before I start washing, and deal with the bugs first before anything else......the dryer sheet makes it almost effortless (especially on a sealed/protected vehicle). I follow up with bedmaker after the wash so there's still some protection there.

On a related note, this is a pic of what Carpro Bug-out did to some of the black plastic........

I actually tried shine supply bug of Monday night (should have took pictures) and it worked great. So far I haven't seen anything wrong with the black plastic on my truck. I would recommend it.

The ceramic coating has worked wonders for me, but prior to that I have been used dryer sheets for years. They seem to work better than anything else I have ever tried - over 30 years of love bugs here in the South.

I had the issue with Bug Off on plastic just this past weekend. I attributed it to not rinsing it off thoroughly or quickly enough. Definitely something to be careful of.

Maybe I need to take a better look. I did rinse it off within seconds. I'll keep an eye on that for sure.

I like Bug & Tar Remover. Works great and is an easy way to get rid off all those June bug guts.

I second this. Spray it on and let it sit for about 5 minutes (depending on the severity of bug guts), and it wipes right off.

I don't recall them mentioning that, but you can try it and post up your results though. It would make for an interesting write up.
