I spoke with "Mik"@ Nitro and my Auburn installation kit is on the way...
this will most likely be my final performance oriented modification for this truck.

Gift me a fresh 5.7 and I'll have at it, but my current 5.7 is about to crest 300,000 miles.
A fresh transmission would also be appreciated.

Any updates? How's it on the street? Any noises or weird shit? I'm in a mental battle over the powertrax vs the auburn, and it sounds like the gear units are superior but can't find any reviews. The idea of clutches worries me since I'm boosted, but if the thing is constantly popping and sounding like it's exploding or alters how you drive then I don't really want that either. I just want something that stops the one wheel burn out but can handle boost and the wife can drive without shitting herself lol

EDIT: Fuck it I ordered one vs the Auburn. Read too many negatives about the Auburn burning out fast. We'll see how this does lol

The guy had a family emergency so he had to take a hiatus and all projects/jobs are on hold. Probably another week at most though. Been over a month now without it, but he's hooking me up big time. Soon as it is done, I'll post here.

I did my 500 mile breaking in 6 or 7 days, I wanted to be able to push the throttle and not baby it any more.
Looking forward to seeing your review of the lsd you installed.

Update on the 5.29/Grip Pro combo. Swapped the gear oil at 510 miles. Truck drives phenomenally. No lag, instant power. Nannies off with tow/haul on and I won't even get a slight chirp of the tires before the LSD engages and does what it's intended to do. New shop took a bit to install but got the job done. No explosions of the diff yet! (lol) About 700 miles into the combo as a whole. Going to break in the trailer and towing with the combo at 1k miles and probably swap the gear oil again. Not needed per se, but I'd like to get a fresh round of gear oil in there after towing just for peace of mind.

Edit: No offroading in my immediate future to really test the LSD, but once we are settled in our new house mid-December, I plan on taking it out on the beach to play around with it.

Yes sir. Read your build page before I posted. Planning on going to the sand dunes in Utah this year. The open diff suxxxx! I have a lock rite on my K5 but it’s kinda finicky on the slick stuff.
