Why does my turn siglan keep blowing? It on a 08'.

I noticed my left front signal was burnt out so I bought a new one and replaced it.
When I removed the old bulb the socket was real warm and discolored. The new build worked so I went about my day. The next day the bulb went out again, same problem, replaced it again. Any ideas?
    Thank everyone.

I'd get a new socket, they can corrode internally and do strange things. Should be under $20.

@Smiley did this fix your issue? My left bulb blew last night. Replaced the bulb, blown again. Some discoloration around the housing. Same on the other side. 2016.

Did you get the correct bulbs? They should be CK if you have DRLs

I thought mines kept blowing as I had my 3rd bulb in the past two weeks. It was me not pushing it in all the way and hearing the click. Lol. If it’s definitely pushed all the way in, I would suggest changing out the socket

Same here. Just replaced the original stock ones with standard ones.
Took another look at my new one and embarrassingly I did the same thing. After making sure it clicked this morning, used it all day today. Knock on wood, so far so good.

A little concerned about the discoloration "burn marks ( for lack of a better word)" on the connectors. I've babied the truck and it stays out of the elements 90% of the time.

    Will keep monitoring.

The discoloration of the socket is normal. It is caused by the heat of the DRLs being on all the time.

mine has it also. I will keep monitoring also and change out socket if I need to but I’m switching to the 19/20 Trd pro led’s so I won’t have to worry much longer. Lol

I used the 4157 bulb also.

I might have used the wrong bulbs. It’s calling for 3157ck for 16 Trd pro. Oh wells. I’m switching so it won’t be long now.

Just ran into this as well. My other side went out again. Started to install the new bulb in the parking lot of the parts store and noticed there was no bulb in the socket. Somehow it popped out and I will be trying to fish mine out as well. I prefer not to remove the whole headlight just to get this out. Any McGyver tips for a fishing tool?

I only use the car wash when I want to get brine/salt off from snow. The pressure from the car wash must have dislodged it?

    Strange.

Or better yet, how about duct taping a piece of 3/8” fuel hose to the end of a shop vac, and suck it out?

Winner winner! Ordered one of those from Amazon and got the bulb out on my 2nd attempt. Reminded me of the claw machine from childhood. Haha. Thanks again!

Nice I’m glad it worked out for you. And sounds like it worked better than those claw machines haha
