Seller Says Lebra won't fit my DC 2006

Hi Folks,


Do you think this Lebra Front End Mask Cover Bra will fit? the Ebay site says yes, but the seller says no, so you get the following conflicting info for my truck for this item:



I corresponded with Covercraft and told them my model and submodel, DC, everything. They said the one below would fit: It has the same part number as the ebay seller's:

5588901a (The seller said he just adds the "a" for internal purposes. )

But the ebay seller insisted it is not for double cabs, which he calls extended. He has a nice deal on these. Does anyone have part 55889-01 on their 2006 DC? I am attaching the instructions from Covercraft for this cover. Could ebay seller be right and even if I order from Covercraft I am going to have issues? Since his price has a nice discount on it, was hoping to take advantage however - but not if it's won't fit.

Me: Darn. Ok your part number matches theirs : 55889-01. Except you have a “A” on yours. Let me know if you find out otherwise about it fitting the 2006 Tundra SR5 double cab.


I take it yours has both top and bottom pieces as it says it’s a 2 piece. And in new condition. It’s a good buy seemingly.

As far as I know there are 3 cabs: standard, acces, and double for the 2006. Only the double has 4 full size doors. Then they also made a step side variant. But mine is the regular fleet size bed.

eBay days it fits my 2006 double cab SR5 Tundra. However the description says it will not.
Which is correct? Thanks.

 

That cover likely fits the access cab and regular cab trucks. The double cabs are a totally different beast with a taller body so the cover will not fit if it says it fits 03, because 03 never had double cabs.

 

Interesting! So the guy could be right then, and covercraft site incorrect. It’s confusing. Didn’t realize DC had a different size front end.
